Help hoist a huge message on the Ridgley Avenue Route 50 overpass to reach about 40K commuters headed eastbound on Route 50 in Annapolis, and wave signs for drivers traversing Ridgley Avenue. Contact Nora Terres at noratprotests@gmail.com. This will continue each Thursday, and end on May 28. RSVP at https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/929425/

51] --  On Thurs., April 16, from 6 to 7 PM, Indivisible Olney will stand up for Democracy at Georgia Avenue & Maryland 108, Olney 20832.  Park in the Walgreen's parking lot and follow the sound of the music! Stand with your neighbors for democracy, for justice, and for an economy that works for all of us, not just billionaires. Stand for science, the rule of law, a working government, kindness and common decency. It's going to be dark and cold at 5:00, so dress warmly and maybe bring a book light to illuminate your protest sign. The event will be cancelled if the temperatures are below freezing, or when it rains, sleets, or snows.

52] -- Jonah Rubin [info@jewishvoiceforpeace.org] on Thurs., April 16 at 7 PM is asking you to Join the JVP Academic Council for a round table webinar about resisting fascism and Zionism on university campuses.  Hear from academics and organizers like Judith Butler, Eman Abdelhadi, and other about university complicity in fascism — and how campus communities are fighting back.  As the Trump regime wages war on academic freedom and other fundamental rights, university campuses are increasingly emerging as sites of complicity in — as well as resistance to — fascism, Zionism, and white nationalism. During this webinar, we'll hear firsthand about the struggles happening on university campuses right now, and learn about strategies for fighting back against censorship, police and ICE presence on campuses, and violent repression.  53] –The Workers Circle [socialjusticeinfo@circle.org] on Thurs., April 16 at 7 PM want you to be involved with this month's Effective Advocate session, starting with the foundation: how to craft a 30-second message you can use on a phone call to a lawmaker. Then build outward from there, showing how that same core message becomes an elevator pitch, a conversation with a neighbor, and maybe even the centerpiece of an advocacy visit! From phone calls to Capitol Hill: learn the whole arc of advocacy!  RSVP https://actionnetwork.org/events/effective-advocate-april-16-2026?link_id=2&can_id=4b9d4061aec5469758759317ac0f5285&source=email-from-phone-calls-to-capitol-hill-learn-the-whole-arc-of-advocacy&email_referrer=email_3194089&email_subject=from-phone-calls-to-capitol-hill-learn-the-whole-arc-of-advocacy&&
