 The talk will reflect on the concept of evil and the ways it is deployed in the discourse on war and in war; the role that such deployment can play; and the many dangers associated with that. It will be argued that the concept of evil hides more that it reveals and gives a false sense of clear and determinate moral orientation and as such can work as an argument stopper and blocks deep political and moral conversation.

38] – Baltimore Rapid Response Network [info+baltimore-rapid-response-network-info@email.actionnetwork.org] on Wed., April 8 at 1 PM will hold a rally calling for the passage of the Community Trust Act in Lawyers Mall in Annapolis. The Community Trust Act requires a judicial warrant for ICE detainers and prohibiting police and jail staff from helping ICE carry out civil immigration arrests.

43] –The MoCo DSA New Member Cohort Session 1 will focus om Socialism vs. Capitalism on Wed., April 8 from 6 to 8 PM at the Twinbrook Library, 202 Meadow Hall Dr., Rockville 20851. This is a three week in-person educational forum for brand new or newly active DSA members to learn and discuss the biggest issues underpinning the organization and the mission.
