During this course, you will learn to teach about the Reconstruction era to help students connect this history to the choices they make today. It is intended for 7th–12th grade US history, humanities, and English language arts teachers and curriculum specialists.

46] – Combatants for Peace are hosting a public screening of Disturbing the Peace on Thurs., Feb. 8 at 6 PM ET at Busboys and Poets, 450 K St NW, WDC 20001. RSVP at

 Please join us for a free screening of Disturbing the Peace, a film about Palestinians and Israelis who were born into conflict, sworn to be enemies, who challenged their fate and the violent status quo. Come learn how former enemy combatants - Israeli soldiers from elite military units and Palestinian fighters, many of whom served years in Israeli prisons, laid down their weapons to join forces and nonviolently co-resist the occupation and co-create a future of freedom for all. The film screening will be followed by a panel discussion with Stephen Apkon, Director and Producer of the film, as well as with Palestinian and Israeli activists and co-founders of Combatants for Peace.
