37] – US Campaign for Palestinian Rights [contact@uscpr.org] needs you on Wed., Feb. 7 at 2 PM ET to Zap the phone lines to stop arming Israel! The Senate is about to bring a horrendous $118 billion spending package to the floor. It includes $14 billion in weapons to Israel for arming genocide, and $20 billion for militarizing the border and jailing immigrants. Even worse, the latest iteration of this package would eliminate all humanitarian funding to the UNRWA aid agency for Palestinian refugees, permanently. This is an effort to fuel genocide and kill as many Palestinians as possible. Call Congress and try to disrupt business as usual for our politicians. Demand that NOT ONE MORE PENNY of your tax dollars should go to Israel to fund genocide!  RSVP at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/1117068964680/WN_gc2VdV14Sdes077F3mVssg?emci=d79e93ab-1ec5-ee11-b660-002248223197&emdi=b51aa71a-25c5-ee11-b660-002248223197&ceid=5467956#/registration

40] – Oxfam [action@oxfamamerica.org] is holding a virtual discussion focused on the increasing influence of the ultra-rich on Wed., Feb. 7 at 7 PM ET.  According to a new Oxfam analysis, the world’s five richest men have more than doubled their fortunes from $405 billion to $869 billion since 2020—at a rate of $14 million per hour—while nearly five billion people have become poorer.  Join in for a virtual discussion focused on the increasing influence of the ultra-rich, how we got here, and what we can do to rein in corporate power and uphold the rights of workers.

Oxfam is calling for an end to the shocking concentration of global corporate and billionaire power that is exacerbating inequality. Our current system favors the richest—but together we can rein in billionaire and corporate power to build communities that work for everyone.  RSVP at https://oxfam.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZIsceCvqTkpGN2WxyMIPSTWtQjpH8_sr3xx?utm_campaign=FY24-Davos&utm_medium=email&_hsmi=291834247&_hsenc=p2ANqtz--8o5Kiv7hh3M9E7bhNtwsW-NG0VarUVJGygw-xj0MO1a94H1AfdPvsTDcjeAlxff-Nx6cm86K1di64UB6-B27Rs0RF_bg0EOq4GZt_ednU0NIPW8w&utm_content=291834247&utm_source=hs_email#/registration

42] –Beth Miller [info@jvpactionpac.org] is inviting you to a special event on Wed., Feb. 7 at 8:30 PM ET hosted by Jewish Voice for Peace. Enjoy a virtual conversation with Naomi Klein, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, and Congresswoman Cori Bush. Strategize around how we can push more politicians toward a ceasefire and plan for our long term fight to end U.S. support for Israeli apartheid. Anti-Palestinian groups like American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) are throwing around enormous amounts of money to unseat progressive candidates because they’re desperate to maintain unquestioning U.S. funding to the Israeli military. Note that this event is a fundraiser. RSVP at https://secure.actblue.com/donate/jvpactionpacfundraiser?sourceid=1002663

To be continued.
