Factory farm gas, often called biogas, is an elaborate and highly profitable greenwashing scheme that encourages the expansion of polluting factory farms at the expense of the climate, environmental justice, and sustainable family farming. At a time when people across the country are demanding an end to factory farming, California’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) is driving the buildout of dirty biogas projects far beyond the state's borders.
