40] – Back from the Brink [info@preventnuclearwar.org] is hosting on Wed., April 19 a National Call-in Day for H. Res. 77, the congressional Back from the Brink nuclear disarmament resolution.  And after the call-in please keep the drumbeat going and encourage your supporters and folks in your network to participate ways to support the resolution. H. Res. 77 calls on the United States to embrace the goals and provisions of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) and to take concrete steps to prevent nuclear war. BftB is using the resolution as a key organizing and advocacy tool to get Congress talking about nuclear disarmament and for some members of Congress to show actual leadership.  Supporters will also receive a link to an all-day Zoom “virtual community room” that BftB will host on April 19 where folks can drop in to get advice and information from BftB staff and Steering Committee members (including phone numbers and names of Congressional staff they might speak to), share updates on their call experience, meet other activists, and take other actions such as directing social media posts to members of Congress and writing letters to the editor.
