24] – On Mon., April 17 at 2 PM ET, participate in Palestinian Prisoners Day, when people around the world will be raising awareness of the situation of the prisoners, including the 500 - 700 Palestinian children detained by the Israeli military each year, and calling for their release. You are invited to join a livestream of the UK campaign launch event hosted by Amnesty International UK and the Palestine Solidarity Campaign. 25] – The Golden Rule will visit the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head, MD to highlight radiological contamination. A press conference is set for 3 PM ET at the Sweden Point Marina in Smallwood State Park on Mon., April 17. Smallwood State Park is adjacent to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, where 90 areas are being investigated for radiological contamination. Supporters will be to draw attention to the serious radiological and chemical contamination at this site. The Golden Rule will be docked in the center of the contamination. The Golden Rule crew spreads the word about the continuing dangers of nuclear power, and the poisoning of the air, water and soil from the entire nuclear cycle, from uranium mining to the disposal of nuclear waste.   Originally launched in 1958, the Golden Rule was built to sail into the nuclear test zone of the Marshall Islands to protest nuclear weapons. Veterans for Peace has restored the boat and is on another exciting journey for peace and disarmament in the world. Making Waves chronicles the Golden Rule's history and documents the boat's protest of the U.S. Navy's air and sea show in 2017.

  Reel and Meal at the New Deal Cafe is a monthly film and discussion series focused on environmental, social justice and animal rights issues, presented by the Utopia Film Festival, the Prince George's County Peace and Justice Coalition and Beaverdam Creek Watershed Watch.
