25] -- Friends of Sabeel North America [friends@fosna.org] wants your involvement on Tues., March 5 at 6 PM ET for Palestine in Focus at Busboys and Poets, 450 K St. NW, WDC 20001. The Stones Cry Out is an interfaith call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire by faith leaders who have recently returned from Palestine. These leaders and organizers have publicly demanded a change to US policy and immediate end the genocide in the Gaza Strip. The faith leaders will also call for the release of all hostages and a massive infusion of humanitarian relief for the suffering Palestinians and the rebuilding of the Gaza Strip without a future military occupation by Israel.   Then on Wed., March 6 at noon at the White House, gather with the Stones Cry Out Delegation as it returns from Palestine. The Stones Cry Out Delegation is a group of 23 American church leaders and activists, including FOSNA board members Diane Dulin and Mary Segall, representing a dozen different Christian denominations turning witness into action. After the vigil, meet with members of Congress.  Lastly, gather for an interfaith service of Lament at Calvary Baptist Church, 755 8th St. NW, WDC 20001 at 7 PM ET. Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib will be there.

27] -- Progressive Maryland’s Returning Citizens Task Force & Black Workers Center are following the legislative session in Annapolis as there are quite a few bills addressing the criminal justice system and reentry needs.  Some of these face opposition, all of them need support.
