25] -- AFSC [actioncenter@afsc.org] is alerting you to Korea Peace Advocacy Week from Mon., June 5 to Fri., June 9. Every year, Korea Peace Advocacy Week brings together hundreds of people around the U.S. to meet with congressional staff on legislation supporting peace in Korea. The efforts have built congressional support to formally end the Korean War, reunite Korean families, and foster diplomacy. As tensions escalate on the Korean Peninsula, join in this year to advocate for a transformative, peace-first approach. Register today. https://koreapeacenow.org/register-now-for-korea-peace-advocacy-week/?link_id=56&can_id=4b9d4061aec5469758759317ac0f5285&source=email-challenge-and-resist&email_referrer=email_1891468&email_subject=challenge-and-resist.

26] -- The Metro DC DSA [info@mdcdsa.org] on Mon., June 5 at 6 PM ET, learn about the Restaurant Association of Metro Washington, an industry lobby group, which is pushing to undermine the will of District residents who voted overwhelmingly for Initiative 82 to raise the tipped minimum. Their method: legislation introduced by Councilman McDuffie. By encouraging restaurants to use “service charges” that go to owners, the bill would confuse customers and reduce tipping, leaving workers worse off.
