38] -- Death Penalty Action [info@deathpenaltyaction.org] is hosting on Wed., March 29 at 2 PM ET for a conversation with Alex Mar, author of the new book, SEVENTY TIMES SEVEN: A True Story of Murder and Mercy. Register at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_9x08TXxST9yctywH4G4_Lg?link_id=4&can_id=4b9d4061aec5469758759317ac0f5285&source=email-were-in-texas-2&email_referrer=email_1847480&email_subject=seventy-times-seven-two-weeks-from-today. This is the broader story beyond that which so many of us know through the life and work of Bill Pelke. Bill's campaign to save Paula Cooper from Indiana's electric chair eventually led to the creation of the Journey of Hope from Violence to Healing, through which Bill and others work to stop executions and share their experiences of the healing power of forgiveness.

39] – Climate Hawks Vote [info@climatehawksvote.com] is helping organize phone banks on Wed., March 29 and Thurs., March 30 for Wisconsin’s April 4 election for state Supreme Court justice, the most important election of any kind in 2023. It is going to help determine who wins the presidency in 2024, because democracy itself is on the ballot. Millions of Wisconsin voters don’t even know the special election is coming up in one week! That’s why ACLU of Wisconsin is trying to turn out every flapping eligible voter in the state. Can you volunteer an hour or more of your time before the special election to help us contact Wisconsin voters? Sign up at https://www.mobilize.us/climatehawksvote/event/555923/?emci=ec7cac07-24cd-ed11-a8e0-00224832e811&emdi=5cbef978-69cd-ed11-a8e0-00224832e811&ceid=13143726. The Phone Banking will be from 5:45 to 7:30 PM ET on March 29 and March 30.

46] –World BEYOND War [greta@worldbeyondwar.org] on Wed., March 29 at 7 PM ET is talking with Dr. Yara Asi, a Palestinian-American global health researcher who recently returned from doing field work in Palestine. Using examples from what she observed in Palestine, she'll share about how war is a public health threat. More details on these upcoming events below.  This webinar will address rising concerns about the health and human rights of Palestinians living under occupation. More Palestinians died in the West Bank in 2022 than in any year since 2006, and 2023 is shaping up to be even more deadly. After decades of impunity for countless human rights violations, Israel continues to control Palestinian movement, seize Palestinian land, and raid Palestinian cities, while enabling the violence and incitement of a rapidly expanding settler population. She will give a first-hand account of the situation in the West Bank and the effects on the health and well-being of Palestinians.  Register at https://actionnetwork.org/events/webinar-palestinian-health-and-human-rights-under-occupation?clear_id=true&link_id=2&can_id=4b9d4061aec5469758759317ac0f5285&source=email-coming-up-next-week-what-is-esg-investing-its-impact-on-divestment-war-as-a-public-health-threat-in-palestine&email_referrer=email_1852810&email_subject=coming-up-next-week-what-is-esg-investing-its-impact-on-divestment-war-is-a-public-health-threat-in-palestine.
