Make your call 404-656-5651 now to save Troy Davis.

Georgia's District Attorney Larry Chisolm has the power to stop this injustice, but has so far failed to intervene. His inaction leaves Troy Davis’ fate to be decided by the Georgia Board of Pardons & Paroles, who will hold a clemency hearing on Monday, September 19.

Please call the Georgia Board of Pardon and Parole today at 404-656-5651 and tell them to vote for clemency for Troy. The Board will be hearing evidence tomorrow and make a decison about Troy's case. The Board office opens at 8:15 a.m. Please make this most important call. Troy's life depends on it! Georgia's District Attorney Larry Chisolm has the power to stop this injustice, but has so far failed to intervene. His inaction leaves Troy’s fate to be decided by the Georgia Board of Pardons & Paroles, who will hold a clemency hearing on Monday, September 19.

Dear Max,

In the past 48 hours nearly 1,000 more religious leaders across the United States have signed the national letter from religious leaders for clemency for Troy Davis. Thank you for all that you are doing.

Through this effort we are trying to touch the hearts and consciences of the five people who make up the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles.

We know the Board's members are active church members. They care what religious leaders have to say.

They care what you have to say.

Please spread this message to the networks of religious leaders in your life and urge them to participate regardless of their position on the death penalty. Contact:

 - Local clergy

 - Congregations of religious

 - Ministerial associations

 - Church judicatories

 - Interfaith groups

 - Local, state and national groups with religious and clergy members

Ask every single religious leader you can. Be creative. But please hurry.

Troy's fate may be your hands. If enough religious leaders speak the board just might be moved.

Thank you for joining us in prayer and action.

Here's the letter: http://www.troyletter.org

Sincerely,

Amanda, Beto, and Steve

P.S. We really need you to do more.

The Georgia parole board will hold its clemency hearing on Troy on Monday, September 19. We will hand deliver the letter to the parole board in Atlanta at 10:30 a.m. next Thursday morning. As such, we cannot include any endorsements after 5 p.m. next Wednesday.

Ask every single religious leader you can to sign the letter today.

Also, Amnesty International USA is organizing Friday, September 16 as an international day of solidarity with Troy Davis. Find more information at http://www.justicefortroy.org.
