These phone banks are subject to change based on variables outside of our control (i.e. a Senator's mailbox is full).

On Tuesdays (in partnership with Newburyport Indivisible-RISE), call New Hampshire voters to connect them with Gov. Sununu and encourage him to veto SB 418.  On Fridays, there will be the Our Democracy phone bank. These shifts also always will include training for first-timers before you make calls! 65] – For the past 41years, the Hiroshima/Nagasaki Peace Committee of the National Capital Area has been organizing for the abolition of nuclear weapons and power and in support of nuclear victims. The group believes that if the world is to avoid repeating the horrors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we must strive to keep alive the memory of the bombings. The atomic bombings serve as a warning to humanity of the genocidal nature of nuclear weapons, and the pressing need for their abolishment. We link our work for nuclear disarmament with our opposition to militarism, oppression, social injustice, and environmental degradation.

On Aug. 5 at 7 PM ET [Aug. 6, 8 AM Japan Time], hear from Mary Olson, founder of the Gender and Radiation Impact Project, and long-time anti-nuclear activist. Mary will speak about her life-long work on radiation and human health, especially the disparate effects on women. Mary will be joined by Environmental Health Specialist, Dr. James Wagner, and Nuclear Waste Expert, Diane D’Arrigo of NIRS.
