This debut feature film by journalist Abby Martin began while reporting in Palestine, where she was denied entry into Gaza by the Israeli government on the accusation she was a “propagandist.” So Abby connected with a team of journalists in Gaza to produce the film through the blockaded border. This documentary is about the historic Great March of Return protests, which occurred every week from March 2018 until December 2019, but covers so much more.

23] – On Tues., May 25 from 8 to 10 AM ET and Wed., May 26 from 8 to 10 AM ET, learn more about Nuclear Risk: Across Technologies and Domains. Online Efforts to understand the risk of nuclear weapon use must extend beyond the nuclear domain. The possibility is increasing of potential escalation scenarios that emerge due to entangled interaction across nuclear and non-nuclear capabilities. Pathways to nuclear weapon use could be linked, for instance, to the increased vulnerability of early-warning assets in space to attack; to the susceptibility of command, control, and communications systems to cyber offensive operations; or to the misidentification of ambiguous payloads carried by dual-capable missiles. This two-day virtual event is sponsored by the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research. Go to https://www.unidir.org/events/nuclear-risk-across-technologies-and-domains.

24] – On Tues., May 25 from 9:30 to 11:30 AM ET, get over to the Care Corner Food Pantry at the Pasadena United Methodist Church, 61 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena. 25] – On Tues., May 25 at noon ET, tune in to Evolving Threats Decoded: Unmasking the Current Cyber Threatscape of the Top Four Foreign Adversarial Competitors of the U.S. Online Partner nations must deal with being the frontline in counter-proliferation activities, making them the most likely targets of cyber espionage and other cyber-enabled activities of adversarial nations. The challenges posed by this situation, coupled with the scarcity of time, resources, and some technologies, means that partner nations face a constant give-and-take between priority and possible activities in the cyber threat environment. A large part of effectively facing these challenges requires an understanding of the most likely and most dangerous ways a partner nation might experience aggressive activities from the Big 4 cyber threat groups (China, Iran, the DPRK, and Russia).
