52] – Women in Black VIGILS FOR PEACE take place on Fri., Mar. 6 from noon to 1 PM.  One is at McKeldin Square, corner of Light and Pratt Sts., in the Inner Harbor, Baltimore.  Use the purple circulator line.  Enjoy an AFTER VIGIL LUNCH from the food trucks in the Inner Harbor.  Bring Your Own Sandwich or stop by one of the food trucks in the McKeldin Square.

Another is at Roland Park Place, 830 W. 40th St., Baltimore.  Free Parking available. Vigil from noon to 1 PM. Lunch in the Bistro at 1 PM. If there's a storm, there is no vigil, but there will be lunch. 53] – There is usually a silent peace and justice vigil on Fridays, from 5 to 6 PM, sponsored by Homewood Friends Meeting, outside the Homewood Friends Meetinghouse, 3107 N. Charles St.  The next scheduled vigil is on Mar. 6. Black Lives Matter.

54] --   On Fri., Mar. 6 from 6 to 8 PM, attend a Happy Hour Fundraiser for Sanctuary Streets Baltimore, hosted by Sanctuary Streets Baltimore at Red Emma's Bookstore Coffeehouse, 1225 Cathedral St., Baltimore 21201. This will benefit the Immigration Bail Fund! $2 off every drink will go to the bail fund. The group is raising money for detained immigrants in Maryland. The money goes directly to immigrant families to help bring their loved ones home. The funds raised will be transferred to family members of the detained community members, with whom we are in contact via their lawyers at CAIR Coalition. 55] – On Fri., Mar. 6 at 7 PM, see the film THE HOSPITAL directed by Arthur Hiller with an Oscar-winning script by Paddy Chayefsky (NETWORK).  The First-Friday Free Large-Screen Film Series is held at the Peace Center of Delaware County, 1001 Old Sproul Road, Springfield, PA. Doors open at 6:30 PM for light refreshments. 

THE HOSPITAL (1971) is a satiric drama, with equally dark splashes of tragic comedy. The late Oscar-winning actor George C. Scott delivers an explosive performance as Dr. Herbert Bock, the brilliant chief of medicine at an urban hospital beset by malpractice mayhem, and even a few murders.

56] – On Fri., Mar. 6 at 7 PM at the Justice Center, 617 Florida Avenue NW, WDC 20001, participate in the last part of a three-part series which looks past the propaganda to examine China. Use the Shaw-Howard Metro (Yellow/Green Lines). No prior reading is required, and questions and discussions are encouraged. 59] –  On Fri., March 6 at 7:30 PM, join the authors Suzanne Belote Shanley and Brayton Shanley on their nonviolent legacy tour as they read from their new book: LOVING LIFE ON THE MARGINS- THE STORY OF THE AGAPR COMMUNITY at the Dorothy Day Catholic Worker, 503 Rock Creek Church Rd. NW, WDC 20010.  The authors are co-founders of The Agape Community, a lay Catholic residential community on 34 acres of land in Central Massachusetts Started 37 years ago, Agape has welcomed hundreds for retreats and rural immersions to learn contemplation, nonviolence, and sustainability. The community is involved in interfaith dialogue and practice, including witness and action against war and capital punishment, and has hosted gatherings to listen to those experiencing racial injustices.
