24] – DC’s primary election day is Tuesday,
June 4, and there is a call to write-in GAZA. Also volunteer at the polls for
Palestine on June 4. This is the last chance to reach people where they vote
and encourage voters to write in “Gaza” rather than voting for Joe Biden.
Write-in DC 2024 is a grassroots effort by DC residents — Palestinians and
allies, natives and transplants, all ages, all races and ethnicities — inspired
by the national Vote Uncommitted movement to show Biden that his failure to
address this issue is costing him electoral support. 29] – Climate Hawks Vote [info@climatehawksvote.com] on Tuesdays, June 4, 11 & 18 at 6 PM ET needs you to help win in an East Coast swing district. We're just weeks away from the big New York primaries and in addition to defending incumbent climate hawks like Rep. Jamaal Bowman, also Sarah Klee Hood, an environmental policy expert and town councilor in upstate New York’s 22d Congressional District, is being supported. Pollsters and election experts rank this district as the most flippable district in the country. Make sure it's a climate hawk who flips it. Democrats can’t flip the House without winning New York’s 22d, and Sarah is the candidate to do it. Join a phone bank for Hood at https://www.mobilize.us/climatehawksvote/event/594140/?emci=016e2632-ac21-ef11-86d2-6045bdd9e096&emdi=c11ee5dd-b021-ef11-86d2-6045bdd9e096&ceid=13143726

31] – CODEPINK [info@codepink.org] thinks you might be interested in joining in on Tues., June 4 on 8 PM for J-Street Unmasked – The End of Liberal Zionism as part of the CODEPINK Congress Capitol Calling Party! Join the discussion of the end of liberal Zionism and the ascendant movement of anti-Zionist Jews demanding decolonization.
Ever since J-Street’s founding in 2007, the organization has promoted itself as the liberal alternative to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). For left-leaning politicians fearful of AIPAC’s wrath, aligning with J-Street provided insulation from Zionist primary election challenges; lawmakers could be mildly critical of Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians, yet still profess allegiance to the State of Israel as a Jewish ethno-state even if it came at the expense of millions of Palestinians. The featured guests are Norman Solomon, co-founder of RootsAction.org, the founding director of the Institute for Public Accuracy and the author of the book, War Made Invisible, and Abba A. Solomon, an independent researcher and author of The Miasma of Unity: Jews and Israel and The Speech, and Its Context: Jacob Blaustein's Speech ‘The Meaning of Palestine Partition to American Jews,' given to the Baltimore Chapter, American Jewish Committee, February 15, 1948.
