Focus on the Baltimore City Not for Sale Campaign, which is working to combat two Sinclair-backed ballot measures which would destabilize Baltimore– one would gut Baltimore city services, and the other would cut City Council representation in half. Every resident in Baltimore has a stake in this fight. RSVP at https://jufj.org/event/bat-6-3-24/?emci=fb9c5a43-3d19-ef11-86d0-6045bdd9e096&emdi=0bea7b7b-3f19-ef11-86d0-6045bdd9e096&ceid=3403859

22] – Oxfam [action@oxfamamerica.org] is holding an Action Call on Mon., June 3 at 8 PM ET— create a gas-free future. RSVP at https://oxfam.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZMkf-CorD4sHdVnJj6kXQIOPCdYlBdWpcrV?utm_campaign=FY25-Webinars&utm_medium=email&_hsenc=p2ANqtz--pwxpTundiYghkAultEMhoLGxsIm3-K4NPABuKhbWWj2K3ZNfELKWcv_Vnq71GcXFPHYw3OJna26Fc2vw5TxjxYFf0MOLaoZiGV49WHKsLdYdtdRE&_hsmi=309229999&utm_content=309229997&utm_source=hs_email#/registration

What role can we play in creating a gas-free future? The first step is to meet climate commitments and shift away from dangerous fossil fuels—like liquefied methane gas—and toward a clean, just energy transition. As the largest exporter of liquefied methane gas in the world, the U.S. must play an important role in leading this transition. Methane is a dangerous fossil fuel that possesses over 80 times the warming potential of carbon dioxide during the initial 20 years after entering the atmosphere. It’s clear: A continued reliance on fossil fuels is NOT in the public’s interest.
