36] – Grassroots
Action Team (via Common Cause) [causenet@commoncause.org] on Tues., March 17
from 6 to 8 PM ET wants you to join a weekly phone bank to key swing senators
as Congress negotiates ICE and DHS’s demand for $10 billion. Mobilize voters to take action against
dangerous legislation in state houses and Congress. Focus on the most urgent
campaigns that need help. Some of these campaigns may include stopping bills
that will make it harder for millions of Americans—especially students,
seniors, and veterans—to cast their ballots. Ensure voters across the country
to call their elected representatives and make their voices heard. A full
training will be provided at the start of each shift! The next phone bank will
be on Tues., March 24 at 6 PM ET. RSVP

Discuss ongoing campaigns, events, trainings, and other issues relevant to the electoral, legislative, and political priorities of the chapter. This event is only open to DSA Members. Not a Member? 41] – Make Calls for Salt River Project Climate Champs with Bill McKibben on Tues., March 17 from 8 to 10 PM ET and with Jane Fonda on Wed., March 25 from 7 to 10 PM ET. Make calls for clean energy champions running for Arizona’s Salt River Project (SRP) Board, which governs one of the country’s largest publicly-owned utilities! Turning Point USA is pouring in money to take over the Board with pro-fossil fuel MAGA candidates that want to roll back climate progress. Turnout is historically super low for these races because most homeowners don't realize that they can vote, making outreach critical. Sign up to call eligible voters. You’ll get some background on the candidates and what’s at stake in the race, you will be able to review the phone banking script, and then walk through how to use the calling platform. 42] – Progressive Maryland [info@progressivemaryland.org] on Wed., March 18 at 9 AM will call out to our legislators to Stand Up for Safe Hospital Staffing at Lawyer’s Mall, 100 State Circle, Annapolis. Maryland has had the longest emergency room wait times in the country for 10 years in a row. Patients are waiting hours for care while healthcare workers are stretched thin. Call on legislators to pass the Safe Staffing Act, a bill that would require hospitals to create staffing plans with input from frontline healthcare workers. The morning will start with a rally, followed by fun games, actions, and opportunities to engage directly with legislators about why safe staffing matters. 43] -- The National Labor Network for a Ceasefire [contact@laborforceasefire.org] on Wed., March 18 from 1 to 2:30 PM ET is hosting a webinar Labor Solidarity with Palestine - Lessons from Italy and Britain. The National Labor Network for Ceasefire and In These Times magazine will host an international webinar featuring trade unionists from Italy and Britain engaged in direct action for justice for Palestinians. On October 3, 2025 the Confederazione Generale Italiana di Lavoratori (CGIL) participated in a national strike for Palestine. The action involved over two million workers and paralyzed transport and logistics throughout Italy. British workers have also engaged in dramatic actions, pressuring both their government and corporate targets, and have had to withstand attacks on their civil liberties in the process. Learn more from unions from both countries and how it might inform the actions of unions here in the United States. RSVP at https://bit.ly/palestine-labor-solidarity-webinar
