53] – The Maryland LCV [info@mdlcv.org] on Thurs., March 12 from 6:30 to 9 PM will meet at Patagonia Baltimore, 700 S. Caroline St., Baltimore 21231.  The event is in support of the CHERISH Our Communities Act, a crucial piece of legislation that would modernize Maryland's permitting system to more accurately reflect people's lived experiences and protect communities that already face heavy pollution burdens.  There will be a panel discussion followed by a social hour with opportunities to take action in support of CHERISH. Light refreshments will be served and there will be time to connect with your neighbors during the event. One of the panelists is Mark Conway, Baltimore City District 4 Councilmember.   RSVP at https://www.mdlcv.org/event/cherish-charm-city?contactdata=71GwV91kZmXN+n8mwhj%2f5wrlciAn3ef3Y6KUOmTEMGemcIH7Btu4ExEt4lT0BKLRwRHdMiQwOzZU+lPdtnQqa7g69uVzkQwfoIDx5LyjTuPDBwJA%2foX5mnHHU%2fW%2frsSA5JUFkGBpje%2fvETP9yno2dLpOOmptS5QkWwsifPqS3Cg6DUi5mroug4fqBHrPMW294o17BT9iplz55kcjsJFzluQv7nETguqRmBTijncRAheYYGq3SDK5K4lprNU40iHraJLm0dEn5b4hLtEp2iwUBQ%3d%3d&emci=ba7273dd-0318-f111-a69a-000d3a1f0a97&emdi=f0e3df3a-1d1a-f111-a69a-000d3a1f0a97&ceid=578562

54] – Check out Global Power Dynamics: U.S.-China relations on Thurs., March 12 at 7 PM ET. The U.S. National Security Strategy is clear that the post-Cold War era is over, and that the competition among the great powers to shape what follows is on. The dangerous U.S.-China competition for Asia-Pacific hegemony continues apace. Flashpoint military confrontations in the South and East China Seas and over Taiwan, and the U.S.-Chinse arms races could lead to war. And, despite the two great powers economic interdependence, the escalating trade war threatens people’s livelihoods and their economic security. Of equal importance, there is no hope of halting and reversing the existential dangers of the climate emergency without U.S.-Chinese cooperation. RSVP at https://actionnetwork.org/events/global-power-dynamics-us-china-relations/

55] – The DSA International Migrants Rights working group [sc.international@dsacommittees.org] on Thurs., March 12 at 8 PM will promote fighting 287g Agreements - No Collaboration w/ ICE!  287(g) agreements allow ICE to deputize local law enforcement and embeds ICE into jails, police departments, and even university campuses. ICE relies on local collaboration to create the neighborhood-to-prison pipelines for mass deportation.  Help organize to stop local government and resources from being hijacked by Trump’s anti-worker and anti-immigrant agenda.  Learn how to map and expose local collaborations and build coalitions to end them. RSVP at https://actionnetwork.org/event_campaigns/ice-out-dsa-ic-migrants-rights-working-group-events?link_id=0&can_id=4b9d4061aec5469758759317ac0f5285&source=email-avelo-gone-ice-out-call-wed-and-toolkit-2&email_referrer=email_3139973&email_subject=tomorrow-at-8pm-et-fighting-287g-agreements-no-collaboration-w-ice&&

56] – On Thurs., March 12 at 9 PM ET, join a Progressive Democrats of America Campaign to Victory call.  Join in for good news and inspiration about recent and future victories. There are lots of wins this year so far, and No Kings III is just around the corner. Register and the machine will email you a secure link: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZcrcuGgrDItHdeYV7F9QQsruFMypvcMt5Fc?emci=60cf6a5a-3311-f111-a69a-000d3a57593f&emdi=177b4617-9111-f111-a69a-000d3a57593f&ceid=2907617#/registration
