] – Welcome to Muskville, a Solidarity City at Columbus Circle NE (Union Station), WDC running through May 9 from 9 AM to 8:30 PM. This in-person organizing space started on April 20 and provides support for displaced workers and demonstrate mutual aid, as well as provide political education and organizing for collective action. We'll offer daily programming from large event tents, launch collective actions, host art and cultural events, and build the networks that our movements need to challenge the actions of the Trump/Musk administration. Programming will include supportive services for fired federal workers and other community members, trainings, political education, performances, and more. For the daily schedule go to https://www.solidaritycity.org/schedule-1. Visit  https://www.solidaritycity.org/

] – Drew and the crew at 198 Methods [drew@198methods.org] on Thurs., May 1 want you to come out on May Day. Unite all working people & build the general strike. May Day was originally the main day of solidarity between workers and labor unions, and it's still celebrated around the world as International Workers Day. But in the US, politicians and oligarchs collectively moved our annual holiday to Labor Day, to avoid the May Day association with socialism and the 1880s' strikes that culminated in the Haymarket massacre in Chicago. This year, as we face another rising oligarchy and threats to our climate, democracy, and communities, we're reclaiming May Day as a day for US worker solidarity and mobilization.

] – On Thurs., May 1 to May 29, We the People are building the Mayday Movement starting on the National Mall, between 7th and 9th Streets NW, WDC at 10 AM. This is a true grassroots collaborative started by concerned citizens who connected over Reddit, and later joined together with other socially active organizations. The strategy is to establish a 24/7, legal, non-violent demonstration on the National Mall, calling on Congress to take the only logical step in this crisis: impeach, convict and remove Donald Trump.  RSVP at https://maydaymovementusa.org/schedule/  For a schedule of events, go to https://www.reddit.com/r/MaydayMovementUSA/comments/1k330n2/updated_schedule_of_events/

] – On Thurs., May 1 at 11:30 AM ET, get with One Struggle, One Fight, All Workers Unite! This will take place in Franklin Park, 1332 I St. NW, WDC. Take the Metro to McPherson Square. This #MAYDAY, we the working people in this country are coming together in the face of a national crisis to declare: One Struggle, One Fight, All Workers Unite! This is an all hands on deck moment to fight for our collective rights, safety, and futures! Together, demand dignity, fair wages, and safety —for every worker, no matter where they’re from. Visit at https://wearecasa.org/mayday2025/

] – On Thursdays from 3 to 4 PM ET, join Indivisible co-founders Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin each week, and carve out an hour to discuss what’s happening and – more importantly – what’s the plan. The onslaught of news, the chaos coming out of the White House – it’s all meant to overwhelm us. It’s a deliberate strategy to sow confusion and make us believe we are powerless to fight back. The antidote: Coming together in community to process what’s happening, to sift through what’s important and what’s just noise, and coalesce around strategies for fighting back.  On May 1, get involved.  Stay involved each Thursday through December 18. He also writes of hope: The spread of solar power, the widespread replanting of trees, and the first gas station in America to switch to charging only EVs in my neighborhood.
