Soon, Governor Moore and the Maryland Department of the Environment will make a decision about permits for the toxic CSX coal terminal in Baltimore. For decades, this terminal has blanketed southern Baltimore with coal dust. It's time the governor and MDE act to protect Marylanders from these harmful operations. Call on Governor Moore to take a stand against the fossil fuel industry and set a clean power standard that excludes all emitters of greenhouse gases and toxic pollution.

He served the majority of his 37-year career as a public employee and union member. Dave observed the escalating cost of health insurance and its direct impact on wage increases. In 2016, he became politically involved and a social justice advocate for several causes. Healthcare became a focus in 2017 when he joined Health Care for All Minnesota. Dave currently serves on the board of directors, is co-chair of the Legislative Policy committee, and lobbies state and federal office holders (and candidates) in support of single-payer healthcare finance reform. He'll be discussing the boondoggle that is Medicare Advantage (or more accurately, Medicare Disadvantage) and how we address this situation.
