23] – On Tues., July 2 at 10 AM, the Peace Walk will meet at the Annapolis Friends Meeting House, 51 Dubois Road, Annapolis. Walk through downtown Annapolis past the Naval Academy, State House, city hall, and end at the Kunta Kinte-Alex Haley Memorial.  At 6:30 PM, enjoy a potluck dinner and discussion at Annapolis Friends Meeting House.  On Wed., July 3 at 9:30 AM, meet at Mom’s Organic Grocery, 9801 Rhode Island Ave., College Park. Walk to Rhode Island Ave. and 34th St., Mt. Rainer, MD. At 6:30 PM, see the film Crossings, about a group of women peace activists who walked across the Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea. Col. Ann Wright, one of the organizers of the walk, will speak afterwards about the project and about ongoing RIMPAC military exercises going on in the Pacific. Korean snacks will be served.

24] – Death Penalty Action [info@deathpenaltyaction.org] wants you to rally to Abolish the Death Penalty on Tues., July 2 at noon at the Supreme Court.  Death Penalty protesters are raising alarm to the threat of vastly increased numbers of executions should President Biden not be re-elected.  And states are not waiting. Today, Texas announced a date for Robert Roberson, who if killed in October will be the first person executed on the basis of the now discredited "shaken baby" syndrome.
