32] – The fight for voting rights remains as critical as ever, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. 33] – On Tues., Sept. 22 at 6:30 PM, there is a Vigil for Ruth Bader Ginsburg ~ National Register to Vote Day at the Frederick County Courthouse, hosted by Frederick’s March for Justice.  Signs and candles (battery powered are highly recommended) are welcomed. Mask are required and social distancing is asked to be respected and encouraged. Getting registered is the first step, but once you’ve done that, what’s next?

34] – NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION DAY is Tues., Sept. 22, and Democracy For All is kicking off with a virtual couch party to teach YOU how to help register new voters at 7 PM ET. And DFA will host a week of action, packed full of opportunities to take action around voter registration and voting rights. The main success in the current congressional session has been supporting Rep. Betty McCollum (D-MN) to introduce H.R. 2407, the "Promoting Human Rights for Palestinian Children Living Under Israeli Military Occupation Act." The bill prohibits U.S. taxpayer funding for the military detention of children in any country, including Israel.
