ICE is expanding its operations in Baltimore and we need our local leaders to do everything they can to protect the rights and safety of our immigrant neighbors! Act now to make sure that the Baltimore County Council passes new immigrant protections in Baltimore County, including Bill 97-25, which makes the Office of Immigrant Affairs permanent, and Bill 98-25, the Trust Act, which specifies that county officials collect immigration data and coordinate with ICE only when required to by law, e.g. when agents have a judicial warrant or are investigating a crime.

On Jan. 13 at 3 PM, attend the press conference led by CASA and then join in packing the room at the public hearing on the bills which begins at 4 PM. Sign up on the morning of January 13 to provide 3 minutes of public testimony: https://countycouncil.baltimorecountymd.gov/ The second public hearing will be held on Tues., Jan. 27 at 4 PM, and the vote on the bill is scheduled for Mon., Feb. 2 from 6 to 8 PM

29] – Join the Baltimore Nonviolence Center on Tues., Jan. 13 from 4:30 to 5 PM ET at 33rd and N. Charles Sts. to challenge President Trump for a long list of illegal executive orders. And now he has invaded Venezuela. Without resistance Trump will undermine our flawed democracy.  Right now Trump wants fascism as the order of the day.
