21] – There is a PSC Hearing on Proposed Crane Peaker Power Plant on Mon., Apr. 1 at 7 PM, organized by the Sierra Club Maryland Chapter, 1124 Bowleys Quarters Rd., Middle River 21220. Contact Ruth Alice White at or 716-562-6276.  The old Crane coal-fired electricity plant was removed from service June 2018 because operators (PJM) agreed to retire this plant because it is NO LONGER NEEDED for electricity in the region. Now, C.P. Crane LLC wants to turn the shuttered plant into a gas peaker plant. This is the most polluting type of gas plant that exists.  Come to a Hearing to Ask the Public Service Commission to deny the permit for this polluting, out of date, and unwanted form of energy generation!  Written comments must be submitted by April 4, 2019 to Terry J. 24] – NATO turns 70 this year, and along with our European friends, U.S. peace activists are throwing a Counter-Summit to “uncelebrate” the birthday. What will Trump’s next foreign and military policy fiasco be? Along with Venezuela, Iran, his Pentagon Budget, new nuclear weapons and trade wars with Europe, Japan and China, the gathering of NATO leaders to celebrate the antiquated and now global military alliance’s 70th anniversary should be high on our list.
