19] – Pax Christi Metro DC-Baltimore [info@paxchristimdcb.org] on Tues., Feb. 10 from 1 to 3 PM will greet the monks walking for peace at the National Cathedral. The Buddhist monks who have been walking from Ft. Worth, TX (120 days, 2,300 miles) will reach Washington, DC, their final destination. A public welcome will be held from 1 to 1:30 PM outside the National Cathedral, 3101 Wisconsin Avenue NW.  A private prayer service will be held inside the Cathedral from 1:30 to 2:30 PM, which should be livestreamed on YouTube.

Pax Christi USA staff will be present at the outside welcome ceremony with a banner; all are welcome to join in. The monks are anticipated to leave the Cathedral around 3 PM and will walk down Massachusetts Avenue via Wisconsin Avenue.

20] – Join the Baltimore Nonviolence Center on Tues., Feb. 10 from 4:30 to 5 PM ET at 33rd and N. Charles Sts. to challenge President Trump for a long list of illegal executive orders. Focus on the most urgent campaigns that need help. Some of these campaigns may include stopping bills that will make it harder for millions of Americans—especially students, seniors, and veterans—to cast their ballots. Ensure voters across the country to call their elected representatives and make their voices heard. A full training will be provided at the start of each shift! The next phone bank will be on Tues., Feb. 17 at 6 PM ET.  This event will continue through Jan. 12, 2027.
