The International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court have both declared that Israel must stop the genocidal acts being committed on the Palestinian people. JVP continues to come together as a political community in its daily half-hour to take action. Speakers will include faith leaders as well as representatives of members of Congress who are introducing pro-democracy legislation. Mercy advocates have been calling for years for passage of the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and Freedom to Vote Act.  This year advocates also have the opportunity to consider bills, to be introduced soon, that are designed to reduce wait times for voting, improve accessibility to voting for people who are homeless and those whose first language is not English, and require that workers be granted time off to vote.
