46] – What’s the Plan? A virtual Weekly Discussion with Indivisible’s co-founders takes place on Thursdays, including July 31, from 3 to 4 PM ET. The onslaught of news, the chaos coming out of the White House – it’s all meant to overwhelm us. It’s a deliberate strategy to sow confusion and make us believe we are powerless to fight back. The antidote: Coming together in community to process what’s happening, to sift through what’s important and what’s just noise, and coalesce around strategies for fighting back. Join Indivisible co-founders Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin each week to discuss what’s happening and – more importantly – what the plan is. RSVP at https://www.mobilize.us/indivisible/event/773746/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=_20250728
47] – Jewish Voice for Peace is doing a Power Half-Hour for Gaza: Channel grief & outrage into action to stop a genocide. A year into the genocide in Gaza, we are overwhelmed with sorrow and rage. There are no words to describe the devastating pain of the past year in which the Israeli military has killed over 44,000 Palestinians in Gaza, including more than 17,000 children. The International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court have both declared that Israel must stop the genocidal acts being committed on the Palestinian people. And the U.S. government is actively supporting the Israeli military as it wreaks devastation on the over 2 million Palestinians in Gaza. JVP continues to come together as a political community in its daily half-hour to take action. Join in and take collective action to demand an arms embargo to Israel, immediate end to the genocide, a lasting ceasefire and an end to Israeli siege, apartheid, occupation, and oppression of Palestinians and Lebanon. All are welcome. All are needed. Get involved at 3 PM ET on Thurs., July 31, Mon., Aug. 4, Tues., Aug. 5 & Wed., Aug. 6. Since his second inauguration, Trump has carried out an assault on the rule of law, on the checks and balances of power between our co-equal branches of government, and on the United States Constitution. He has committed multiple abuses of power in violation of clear constitutional commands and at the expense of our democratic institutions, constitutional precedent, and the health and safety of all of our people, especially the most vulnerable. Congress must take action.
