40]
– On
Wed., June 24 from 9 AM to 1 PM, hosted by Obywatelski NYC at the
Ellipse Road NW, WDC 20006, protest the homophobic president of Poland. President Andrzej Duda has a disregard for
the Constitution in Poland and the LGBTQ community, and he is meeting with
President Trump on June 24. We are
Polish citizens who live in the USA and represent the Polish Freedom Network.
We support all pro-democratic activities in Poland. We are against racism,
homophobia and bigotry. The PFN has no political affiliations. Democracy in
Poland has been under attack since 2015 when the ultra-right party PiS and
President Andrzej Duda took power. They destroyed democratic institutions, the
rule of law and human rights. The Polish LGBTQ community has been under siege
of a hate campaign. The President of Poland called the LGBTQ people: “not
humans, but an ideology, worse than communism.” Some of the Polish Catholic
bishops called the LGBTQ community a “Rainbow Plague.” Local communities
representing one third of the territory of Poland voted their towns “zones free
of the LGBTQ.” Show Andrzej Duda that he is not welcomed here. That he
represents repulsive, harmful politics that can be linked to the Nazi ideology.
Don't forget your masks - the pandemic is not over! See https://www.facebook.com/events/267767767621461/.
