84] – The
Mass Poor People’s Assembly and Moral March on Washington will be the largest
digital gathering of poor, dispossessed and impacted people, faith leaders, and
people of conscience on June 20, 2020. The increasing urgency of a broad
movement led by the poor and most impacted is more apparent every day. Now is
the time to organize towards collective action to enact a moral agenda for the
nation. As our ranks grow in the coming months due to COVID-19 and the ongoing
crisis of poverty, building a platform for the plight, fight, and insight of
the poor is even more urgent. Marshal
our collective voices to demonstrate the power of our communities. Demand that
both major political parties address the interlocking injustices of systemic
racism, poverty, ecological devastation, militarism and the distorted moral
narrative of religious nationalism by implementing our Moral Agenda.
The Mass Poor People's
Assembly and Moral March on Washington is a 2.5 hour program that will be
broadcast on Sat., June 20 at 10 AM ET. There will be rebroadcasts at 6 PM ET,
and again on Sun., June 21 at 6 PM ET. Go to June2020.org. 85] – On Sat., June 20 from 10 to 11 AM, come to Drawdown Workshop,
hosted by Sunrise Howard County.
Focus on fighting for racial justice in our communities. Learn about the 100 SOLUTIONS to global
warming. The effects of climate change disproportionally effect the minorities
of our communities and by fighting against climate change we are also fighting
to protect our minority groups. RSVP @ bit.ly/sunrisehocorsvp. See https://www.facebook.com/events/284896765993413/.
86] – On Sat., June 20 from 10 to
11 AM, get over to a Special Drive-Through Food Gathering for the Manna Food
Center, hosted by Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 818 University Blvd. W,
Silver Spring 20901. The Manna Food
Center is an essential food gathering and distribution outreach program in
Montgomery County. Manna's mission is to end hunger in Montgomery County
through food distribution, education, and advocacy. Learn more by checking out
the Manna website, https://www.mannafood.org which currently has this list of
MOST NEEDED FOODS to guide our shopping. Bring food to the Good Shepherd
parking lot. Look at https://www.facebook.com/events/299997941030266/.
87] – On Sat., June 20 at 10 AM, get with the 4th Annual Stop Killing Us
(SKU) march to Washington, D.C. Start at 5424 Pulaski Hwy., Baltimore
21205-3412. COVID 19 PRECAUTIONS WILL BE
PRACTICED. Stop Killing Us (SKU)
addresses the issues of police brutality and community gun violence! This is a
three week action that will take place rain or shine! Bring your posters,
noise, and masks! Step off promptly at
10 AM. The recent murder of George Floyd is a catalyst and so are all the other
murders that have and will occur at the hands of law enforcement. The march
(walk) will take place rain or shine. This is a self-sponsored action so you
must provide your own expenses and necessities to participate. It’s not about
how far you can walk. A block, a mile, an hour, it’s up to you. The march will end at the Congressional Black Caucus,
where a presentation will be given to prevent further police brutality. See

88] – On Sat., June 20 at noon, come to the 2nd BLACK LIVES MATTER Bell-Tolling
& 'Shout-Out' for Racial Justice in Historic Germantown, in
front of the Town Square, at Germantown Avenue & Schoolhouse Lane. "NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE" or
"END WHITE SUPREMACY; RESIST
FASCISM, OUST TRUMP." Dr.
Martin Luther King described the evil violent triplets of American society:
Racism, Militarism, and Greed. True then, and imperial fact today.
Those attending Saturday's protest in Germantown will need to practice social
distancing, wear a mask throughout the demonstration, and observe a
nonviolent group discipline. Call Melissa Elliott, Germantown Friends Meeting,
215-951-2235. Check out www.brandywinepeace.com.
89] – On
Sat., June 20 from 2:30 to 4:30 PM, Our Revolution is meeting and the topic of
discussion is Life During and After COVID-19: Creating a Green Recovery. It's likely that COVID-19 will permanently
alter our society and our economy. Businesses and entire industries will fail,
and new ones will arise from the ashes. As we rebuild, we must reject the
narrative of returning to a "normal" that was failing many people and
destroying our planet. Hear from speakers from 350.org and the Sunrise Movement
Baltimore Hub. Register here at

90] – On Sat., June 20 from
3 to 8 PM, get over to Pride in the Park, hosted by S.H.E. Productions, Patterson
Park 21224. If it weren’t for Black
Trans Women and other POC in the Queer community, there would be no Pride
Month. Never forget Stonewall started as
a riot.
Get together and raise
some money to support the FAMILY because #blacktranslivesmatter. This is a casual pop-up party in the park.
Bring your snacks. Bring your drinks. Bring your fashion. Bring your music.
Bring your allies. Bring your glitter. Bring a blanket. Bring chairs. Bring the
positivity and fun. But most importantly, bring your wallets and your desire to
make a difference! Also- bring a mask and your common sense. Social distancing is
encouraged. Consider a donation to The Okra Project. Look at https://www.theokraproject.com/.

93] – The
Trump Administration is again beating the war drums. Most recently, the
target is Iran. Should the Trump administration initiate an act of war
against Iran, consider joining us. It is a violation of U.S. law for the Trump
Administration to attack a country that has not attacked us, as only Congress
can declare war. The Trump administration is nevertheless beating the war drums
for war against Iran and Venezuela. Should a war criminal, John Bolton,
convince Trump to attack either of these countries, such a military strike
would demand an immediate and unequivocal response from us to show that we will
not tolerate his abuse of power.
Let's mobilize to show that we the people will not tolerate another military adventure, which would be bound
to have profound negative consequences. If a military strike against Iran
or Venezuela takes place, then meet at 33rd and
N. Charles St., Baltimore 21218. If the attack is before 2 PM local
time, then the event will begin at 5 PM, local time. If the attack
occurs after 5 PM local time, then the event will begin at 5 PM,
local time, the following day. Contact

96] -- Join an extraordinary global campaign for the elimination of
nuclear weapons: http://www.globalzero.org/sign-declaration.
A growing group of leaders around the world is calling for the elimination of
nuclear weapons and a majority of the global public agrees. This is an
historic window of opportunity. With momentum already building in favor
of Zero, a major show of support from people around the world could tip the
balance. When it comes to nuclear weapons, one is one too many.

“One is called to live nonviolently, even
if the change one works for seems impossible. It may or may not be possible to
turn the US around through nonviolent revolution. But one thing favors such an
attempt: the total inability of violence to change anything for the
better" - Daniel Berrigan
