53] –Alyn Ware [ware@wfm-igp.org] on Thurs., Nov. 26 at 11 AM is inviting you to a MEGA Town Hall meeting.  This is an online briefing and consultation for Mobilizing an Earth Governance Alliance (MEGA).  Register at https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/TexoqBpJRJKc3hJC0SZnZw#/registration

MEGA core team members will give short updates on the priority programs and key resources, after which the floor will be open for questions and contributions from participating organizations.

54] –What’s the Plan? A virtual Weekly Discussion with Indivisible’s co-founders takes place on Thursdays, including Nov. 6, from 3 to 4 PM ET. The onslaught of news, the chaos coming out of the White House – it’s all meant to overwhelm us. It’s a deliberate strategy to sow confusion and make us believe we are powerless to fight back. The antidote: Coming together in community to process what’s happening, to sift through what’s important and what’s just noise, and coalesce around strategies for fighting back. Join Indivisible co-founders Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin each week to discuss what’s happening and – more importantly – what’s the plan. The event will continue through Dec. 18. RSVP at https://www.mobilize.us/indivisible/event/773746/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=_20250728

55] –On Thursdays, Nov. 6, from 4 to 5:30 PM, join an Overpass Extravaganza at Ridgley Ave. Overpass, 599 Ridgely Ave., Annapolis 21401, hosted by Chesapeake Indivisible. Help hoist a huge message on the Ridgley Avenue Route 50 overpass to reach about 40K commuters headed eastbound on Route 50 in Annapolis, and wave signs for drivers traversing Ridgley Avenue. This event will continue through Thurs., Dec. 11. RSVP at https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/824306/

56] – On Thurs., Nov. 6 at 5 PM, join an Indivisible Rally & Rise at Maryland 108 & Georgia Ave., Olney 20832. Every Voice, Every Thursday. RSVP at https://www.mobilize.us/dfadcoalition/event/843663/?followup_modal_context=organization_newsletter_custom_recommendations

This event is hosted by Indivisible EmpowHERed, and the idea is to come together in unity, hope, and the strength of our voices. Each Thursday, gather to lift one another up, spread positivity, and make a little “good trouble” in the name of justice, compassion, and community.  Bring your signs, your energy, and your spirit—rise to remind ourselves and each other that change begins when voices join together. Parking is available in nearby shopping centers and along Hillcrest Drive. For stand-alone businesses, please leave their spaces open for their customers. And while you’re here, consider patronizing the local shops and restaurants—it’s a wonderful way to support the Olney community.

57] – On Thurs., Nov. 6 from 6:30 to 9 PM ET, everyone is invited to attend the Metro DC DSA Latin dance social at Right Proper Brewing, 624 T St. NW, WDC 20001. Email sfranco321@gmail.com. This is an introductory Bachata dance class, followed by a night of Latin music. Whether they’re taking their first dance step or have been a constant bachatero, socialists of all skill levels are encouraged to come out for great music, food, and drinks.  Right now, with rising inflation and skyrocketing energy bills, many Marylanders are struggling to make ends meet. Luckily, the Maryland General Assembly session is soon approaching, giving us the opportunity to fix that! We want to give money to low-income families to help electrify their homes, dramatically increase investment in solar, and pass balcony solar legislation to make access to solar ubiquitous and accessible to tenants and condo owners alike. These are just a few of the legislative priorities for next year. Join CCAN Action Fund and our Maryland Director, Brittany Baker, for a legislative session preview.

60] – Women's March [info@womensmarch.com] on Thurs., Nov. 6 at 8 PM ET is setting up an Emergency Mass Call to Protect Food Assistance. Find out what’s happening with SNAP and how to fight back. RSVP at https://act.womensmarch.com/signup/Masscall_Nov6_SNAP/?t=4&akid=23244%2E508952%2E9I6yG1

The government is cutting food assistance for millions of families, children, and seniors. This isn’t a mistake. It’s cruelty by design.  Don’t let your communities go hungry while the powerful hoard plenty. Dig into what’s happening, what’s next, and how to protect each other when the system won’t.

61] – Progressive Democrats of America [info@pdamerica.org] on Thurs., Nov. 6 at 9 PM will hold its weekly Campaign to Victory Call. RSVP at https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZcrcuGgrDItHdeYV7F9QQsruFMypvcMt5Fc?emci=38f17575-f4b8-f011-8e61-6045bded8ba4&emdi=c11beaed-88b9-f011-8e61-6045bded8ba4&ceid=2907617#/registration
