This is the second of a four-part series of workshops: Organizing under Authoritarianism - Building with Labor.  You will learn about how building with and learning from the labor movement is key to building the power we need to stop authoritarianism and win on climate.  Register at https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/EQIfA8VTT3iBunVspx8AgQ?link_id=0&can_id=4b9d4061aec5469758759317ac0f5285&source=email-register-organizing-under-authoritarianism-building-with-labor&email_referrer=email_2993753&email_subject=register-organizing-under-authoritarianism-building-with-labor#/registration

21] – Join the Baltimore Nonviolence Center on Dec. 2 from 4:30 to 5 PM ET at 33rd and N. Charles Sts. to challenge President Trump for a long list of illegal executive orders. Without resistance Trump will undermine our flawed democracy.  Right now Trump wants fascism as the order of the day Contact Max at mobuszewski2001 at Comcast dot net or 410-323-1607.

22] – Sun Day [reply@sunday.earth] on Tues., Dec. 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM and Thurs., Dec. 4 from 7 to 9 PM, consider making calls for Clean Energy. Sun Day showed us the incredible power of coming together to celebrate clean energy. Now, it's time to channel that energy into action that gets more solar and wind projects built in communities across the country. Greenlight America is calling clean energy supporters in key locations and encouraging them to take action to get projects permitted where they live. On these phone banks, volunteers will encourage supporters to testify at hearings, submit public comments or contact decision makers to build wind and solar projects. The next call will be on Dec. 9, and the calls will continue through Dec. 18. RSVP to phone bank at https://www.mobilize.us/greenlightaction/event/842120/?utm_source=SunDay&link_id=1&can_id=4b9d4061aec5469758759317ac0f5285&email_referrer=email_2960084___subject_3458067&email_subject=make-calls-for-clean-energy&

23] – The Workers Circle [socialjusticeinfo@circle.org] on Tues., Dec. 2 from 7 to 8 PM is hosting a training to help you plan a vigil outside an ICE detention camp. For example, there is a group which for four months has been showing up outside ICE’s black site detention camp in the Florida Everglades known as Alligator Alcatraz. This is the moral issue of our time. As we look upon the lessons of the workers and organizers who came before us, we know that when history came knocking they answered the call to leave the world a better place than they found it. On this call, you’ll hear directly from organizers who have been holding weekly vigils at Alligator Alcatraz and from people who are just getting started at other detention sites around the country.
