44] -- Stop the Money Pipeline [info@stopthemoneypipeline.com] on Wed., Nov. 5 from 3 to 4:30 PM ET is holding a webinar Organizing under Authoritarianism. Every day in the United States the stakes of our work are getting clearer: We must push back against authoritarianism and oligarchy for democracy and a livable planet. Those who profit off of the destruction of people and the planet are attempting to further consolidate their power and are threatening so much that we hold dear. Join in to connect, build skills, and learn more about what organizers across the country are doing in How Fossil Fuels and Finance Fuel the Regime. You’ll hear speakers from Freedom Trainers, who have trained hundreds of thousands in noncooperation strategies, and Americans for Financial Reform, who have been fighting for years for an economy that works for all of us. Also hear from Public Citizen who has been fighting, suing, and organizing against the Trump regime. Register here: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/bgSL9oxbQ2i0e9W9Eb1xxg?link_id=0&can_id=4b9d4061aec5469758759317ac0f5285&source=email-organizing-under-authoritarianism-webinar-115&email_referrer=email_2954096&email_subject=organizing-under-authoritarianism-join-webinar-115&&#/registration

This will be the first of a four-part series of workshops that the Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) team is hosting over the next few months. Justice work will continue all across the climate and financial reform movement.

45] – Indivisible Baltimore County [pnrichkus@228993002.mailchimpapp.com] on Wed., Nov. 5 at 4 PM is holding an emergency rally. The community demands answers after County Executive “complies in advance” with Trump-era ICE agenda.  Join a peaceful rally demanding transparency, accountability, and safety for immigrant families following County Executive Kathy Klausmeier’s unilateral agreement with federal immigration authorities. Speakers will represent the County’s impacted communities on Wed., Nov. 5 at 4 PM outside the Old Courthouse, 400 Washington Ave., Towson 21204.  On Friday, October 31, the County Executive’s office confirmed that it had executed an MOU on October 27 with DHS/ICE/Enforcement and Removal Operations, Baltimore (ERO BAL)—without advance public notice or Council engagement. After intense public backlash, the MOU was released — but key questions remain unanswered: What commitments did the County make? What protections exist for residents? Who was consulted? In an atmosphere already charged with fear and distrust stemming from Trump-era immigration policies and ongoing ICE abuses, this lack of clarity deepens community anxiety and undermines public confidence and public safety. 46] – Join a Wednesday Movement Sign Wave in Lauraville on Nov. 5 from 5 to 6 PM at Harford Road & Parkside Drive, Baltimore 21214. It will continue through Nov. 26. This event was inspired by other Sign Waves that make their pro-democracy, anti-Trump, and anti-Putin views known. Contact Anne George, 443-831-7528, for more information on initiating a sign wave in your area. RSVP at https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/784682/?timeslot=5520790

47] – Join a sign wave on Wed., Oct. 29 from 5:30 to 6 PM ET at Woodbrook Church, 25 Stevenson Lane, [between Bellona Ave. & Charles St.] Baltimore 21212. Park in the church parking lot. This event will continue through December 31. This event will be canceled if raining hard. 48] -- The CCAN Action Fund [info@ccanactionfund.org] needs you on: Wed., Nov. 5 at 6:30 PM ET to join a webinar From Redlining to RENEW.  RSVP at https://act.ccanactionfund.org/page/89619/data/1?utm_medium=email&utm_source=engagingnetworks&utm_campaign=mdnnff&utm_content=MD-NNFF-Redline+to+RENEW-1025-c4+A&ea.url.id=4143258

The reality is that Maryland needs the Responding to Emergency Needs and Extreme Weather (RENEW) climate cost study bill to move forward and protect Marylanders from future climate disasters. The webinar will highlight climate impacts across Maryland and show how to help urge our Maryland legislators to override the RENEW study bill veto. Hear from a panel of legislators and experts that will discuss the connection between historical redlining and current climate impacts in historically redlined communities. Redlining is the historical practice of denying financial services to specific areas based on race and/or ethnicity. Due to this history, Black and Brown communities are on the frontlines of this escalating crisis and there are lasting repercussions on the health, wealth, and opportunities in these communities.

49] -- On Wed., Nov. 5 from 6:30 to 8 PM ET, join Shore Progress on the 4th Wednesdays of every month to work to build up Maryland's Eastern Shore. RSVP at https://www.mobilize.us/progressivemaryland/event/831902/?followup_modal_context=organization_newsletter_custom_recommendations

The Electoral Committee is committed to strengthening democracy and building a brighter future for Maryland’s Eastern Shore. It will work to advance election advocacy, identify and support candidates who reflect shared values, and ensure that every voice in our community is heard.  Bring people-powered change to the Shore by supporting leaders who will invest in its schools, protect working families, expand opportunity, and stand up for a more just and equitable future. Through grassroots organizing, voter outreach, and candidate support, help move the Eastern Shore forward together. This will re-occur on the following dates: Wednesdays, Nov. 5 from 6:30 to 8 PM, Nov 19, 6:30 –7:30 PM ET, Dec. 3, 6:30 to 7:30 PM & Dec. 17, 6:30 to 8 PM ET.

50] -- The Indivisible Team [info@indivisible.org] will host Solidarity in Action on Wed., Nov. 5 at 7 PM ET. Federal agents are being deployed across the US to disappear our neighbors, friends, and families off the street. What can we do? Register for Solidarity in Action: Protect Immigrant Rights, Build Collective Power with special guest Maribel Hernández Rivera to find out.  Immigration is the backbone of the American dream -- but there has never been a time when this country has truly welcomed all immigrants safely. And right now, the federal government is enacting a campaign of cruelty on our communities that is ripping families apart and disappearing human beings off the street, from their jobs, even from their homes. National Director of Immigrant Community Strategies for the ACLU Maribel Hernández Rivera will help allies show up for immigrant communities as they face potential law enforcement encounters. You’ll learn bystander and immigrant rights during these interactions, alongside practical strategies to safely and effectively act as an ally. RSVP at https://www.mobilize.us/indivisible/event/852565/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=link1_20251031

51] -- Roots Action wants you to hear from Greg Grandin on Wed., Nov. 5 at 8 PM ET on Zoom. He is one of the most powerful, respected, and award-winning authors of the day who can speak to exactly how we got into the mess we are in. He will join the monthly book club to discuss America América. This is a history of a hemisphere, and it is a history very different from what might be thought by those who have not read this amazing book. 52] -- The Local Peace Economy [peaceeconomy@codepink.org] is holding its next meeting on Wed., Nov. 5 at 8 PM ET with ‌the poet Drew Dellinger, whose poetry touches on justice, ecology, and cosmology. He is a deeply compassionate and inspiring voice in the times we find ourselves in. The war economy distances us from the joy and pleasure of a creative life, creating a cycle of dissatisfaction and emptiness that we often fill with consumption. Creativity and culture is the mesh that weaves together community.   RSVP at https://www.codepink.org/lpe1105?utm_campaign=november_5th_lpe_gathering&utm_medium=email&utm_source=codepink
