28] – American Muslims for Palestine & Americans for Justice in Palestine [info@ampalestine.org] are hosting on Wed., Aug. 2 at 3 PM ET a WEBINAR on the VISA WAIVER PROGRAM.  This is Legitimizing Apartheid: Why Israel is Not Eligible for the Visa Waiver Program.  The U.S. and Israel signed a MOU to facilitate Israel’s entry into the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). Upon signing the MOU, a 30-45 day trial period began to test Israel's eligibility to enter the program. If Israel fulfills the statutory requirement to extend “reciprocal privileges to [US] citizens and nationals,” it will be admitted into the VWP program. Israelis would then be eligible to enter the U.S. visa-free for 90 days.  Israel is NOT eligible for the VWP and should NOT be admitted due to its decades-long systematic discriminatory entry policies targeting Palestinian- and Arab-Americans, Muslims, and Americans who support and advocate for Palestinian rights.  RSVP at https://www.facebook.com/events/1355278561688605/?acontext=%7B%22ref%22%3A%2252%22%2C%22action_history%22%3A%22[%7B%5C%22surface%5C%22%3A%5C%22share_link%5C%22%2C%5C%22mechanism%5C%22%3A%5C%22share_link%5C%22%2C%5C%22extra_data%5C%22%3A%7B%5C%22invite_link_id%5C%22%3A1929962924037658%7D%7D]%22%7D.

33] –.MAPA [info@masspeaceaction.org] wants you to attend  a webinar Nuclear War, Environmental Disaster, and Raytheon in Ukraine Webinar on Wed., Aug. 2 at 8 PM ET. Join a discussion led by MAPA activists Richard Krushnic and Patrick Moran. Are there twin threats of our time, global warming and nuclear war? The frightening effects of climate change are happening faster than anticipated. This seems to be hyperbole: “the greatest environmental threat we face at this time is from limited or total nuclear war. A limited nuclear war with tactical nuclear weapons would be the gravest of all environmental catastrophes, primarily caused by the nuclear winter it would spawn. And an all-out nuclear war would mean extinction for humans, most animals and much of the environment.”

A nuclear exchange cannot happen between Russia and Ukraine.  If Russia were to use nukes, the result would be omnicide.  Any nuke used against Ukraine would affect Belarus, Poland, Russia, Moldova and of course Ukraine.  A better approach would be to pressure Putin to end his illegal and brutal invasion. After that rebuilding Ukraine will be the order of the day. To be continued.
