22] –Jewish Voice for Peace is doing a Power Half-Hour for
Gaza: Channel grief & outrage into action to stop a genocide. A year into the genocide in Gaza, we are
overwhelmed with sorrow and rage. There are no words to describe the
devastating pain of the past year in which the Israeli military has killed over
44,000 Palestinians in Gaza, including more than 17,000 children. The
International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court have both
declared that Israel must stop the genocidal acts being committed on the
Palestinian people. And the U.S. government is actively supporting the Israeli
military as it wreaks devastation on the over 2 million Palestinians in Gaza.
JVP continues to come together as a political community in its daily half-hour
to take action, Monday through Friday, for the past year. Join in and take
collective action to demand an arms embargo to Israel, immediate end to the
genocide, a lasting ceasefire and an end to Israeli siege, apartheid,
occupation, and oppression of Palestinians and Lebanon. All are welcome. All
are needed. Get involved at 3 PM ET on Mon., Feb. 24 through Thurs., Feb. 27.

23] – Eradicating Gaza: How to Remember and Forget Genocide
will be examined virtually on Mon., Feb. 24 from 6 to 7:30 PM ET with a
discussion with Israeli-American historian Prof. Omer Bartov. As we've been
witnessing a genocide in Gaza for the past 15 months, it's timely to reflect on
the politics of the use of the word "genocide", and the use and
misuse of the memory of the Holocaust in WW2.
Prof. Bartov will also expand our thinking about the development of
Zionism over time: as a settler colonization effort, as a mechanism for helping
Jewish refugees and as an ideological national movement. RSVP at

24] –On
Mon., Feb. 24 at 6 PM at Busboys and Poets, 14th & V, 2021 14th St.
NW, WDC 20009, join editors Haki R. Madhubuti and Keith Gilyard to
learn why our children are the stewards of our liberation. When we prioritize
our children, we are also prioritizing a world shaped by peace, safety, love
and justice. When we protect our children, we are also protecting our most
beautiful legacies and coveted traditions. When we invest in our children, we
are also investing in our most audacious freedom dreams and our most impossible
future worlds. The children of Gaza, and indeed all of Palestine, are no
different. The editors will promote a book FOR GAZA CHILDREN. Please note
that this event is IN PERSON and WILL be livestreamed. RSVP at

Join the Baltimore Nonviolence Center on
Tues., Feb. 25 from 4:30 to 5 PM ET at 33rd and N. Charles
Sts. The invasion of Ukraine has the potential to become a war extending

threatened the use of nuclear weapons. Russian soldiers were sent into
the area around the contaminated and still radioactive Chernobyl nuclear
plant. Now they are stationed in the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the
