37] – The Progressive Maryland Environmental Justice Task Force [info@progressivemaryland.org] will be in Lawyers Mall, State Circle, Annapolis 21401 on Thurs., Feb. 13 at 11 AM for a rally to show lawmakers that Marylanders demand bold action for environmental justice. For too long, polluters have gotten away with poisoning our communities while calling it “clean energy.”  The hearing happens right after the rally, so this is our chance to make sure legislators know where we stand. Gather to support The Reclaim Renewable Energy Act [SB10] which will remove incineration from the state’s Renewable Portfolio Standard, finally ending subsidies for pollution and shifting to real clean energy solutions. 38] – Jewish Voice for Peace is doing a Power Half-Hour for Gaza: Channel grief & outrage into action to stop a genocide.  A year into the genocide in Gaza, we are overwhelmed with sorrow and rage. There are no words to describe the devastating pain of the past year in which the Israeli military has killed over 44,000 Palestinians in Gaza, including more than 17,000 children. The International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court have both declared that Israel must stop the genocidal acts being committed on the Palestinian people. And the U.S. government is actively supporting the Israeli military as it wreaks devastation on the over 2 million Palestinians in Gaza. JVP continues to come together as a political community in its daily half-hour to take action, Monday through Friday, for the past year. Join in and take collective action to demand an arms embargo to Israel, immediate end to the genocide, a lasting ceasefire and an end to Israeli siege, apartheid, occupation, and oppression of Palestinians and Lebanon. All are welcome. All are needed. Get involved at 3 PM ET on Thurs., Feb. 13, Fri., Feb. 14, Mon., Feb. 17 & Tues., Feb. 18.  Visit https://jvp-org.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_Un0Lupy1SFObVVXJaZO5UQ?_x_zm_rtaid=8L0JUS3pQkenMGtx9ha3mQ.1732760660364.03949df73aedc7035fc618f76c52fc75&_x_zm_rhtaid=249#/registration

40] – Popular Democracy [cpd@populardemocracy.org] on Thurs., Feb. 13 at 7 PM ET will hold a National Fight Back call. Take a stand for the 14th Amendment—a cornerstone of Black liberation that was born to ensure nobody is treated as less than a human being.  Right now, extremists are trying to rip that foundation away to target immigrants, erase our communities, and unravel the progress we’ve fought generations to secure.  It’s time to be in community with one another, hear from elected leaders fighting for our rights like Rep. Nydia Velasquez, and recharge for the fight ahead with spoken word artist Camilo Montoya. These calls will continue each Thursday through December 18. RSVP at https://www.mobilize.us/cpda/event/550558/?ms=EM+NationalCallFeb132+PD&emci=1adcad8a-8ae9-ef11-90cb-0022482a94f4&emdi=1bdcad8a-8ae9-ef11-90cb-0022482a94f4&ceid=447376

It’s chaos by design, a calculated power grab. We cut through the noise by organizing, fighting smarter, and refusing to back down. Discuss easy ways we all can make a real difference to help protect endangered communities, buttress the democracy we hold so dear, and ultimately defeat Trump, Musk, and the rest of MAGA, and make our future more progressive. .
