November 11 is six days after this most feared of all modern U.S. elections. Perhaps the most divisive election since the Civil War. What might be the implications of what happens on November 5 for the country and, specifically for the wars in Ukraine and Gaza? What do we need to know about the actual background to these wars as well as the meaning of present events in order to effectively exercise our responsibility as citizens to bring them to an end given the new lay of the land on which we will now be walking? Hear from Stephen Kinzer, an award-winning author and foreign correspondent who has covered more than 50 countries on five continents. His articles and books have led the Washington Post to place him “among the best in popular foreign policy storytelling.” He is a visiting fellow at the Watson Institute for International Studies at Brown University. His numerous books include Overthrow, All the Shah's Men, The Brothers: John Foster Dulles, Allen Dulles and Their Secret World War; The True Flag: Theodore Roosevelt, Mark Twain and the Birth of American Empire and Poisoner in Chief. He is now a Boston Globe columnist, providing deep insight into U.S. foreign policy.

23] – On April 9, Janice Sevre-Duszynska and Max Obuszewski were arrested in the Dirksen Senate Office Building cafeteria with Christians for a Free Palestine and charged with incommoding. The group went to a Senate cafeteria to lobby Senate staffers to implore upon their respective senator that Palestinians are being starved. The situation today is even worse. They both will appear at 2:30 PM on November 12 in Courtroom 310 in D.C. Superior Court in order to argue two motions: Compel Additional Discovery and Be Allowed to Offer Expert Testimony. Max and Janice’s attorney, Mark Goldstone, will argue that the defendants have received insufficient discovery. Max, alone, will argue that it is necessary to allow an expert witness who will detail that starvation is occurring in Palestine. The defendants are scheduled for trial on November 18. 25] – Join the Baltimore Nonviolence Center on Tues., Nov. 12 from 4 to 4:30 PM ET at 33rd and N. Charles Sts. The invasion of Ukraine has the potential to become a war extending throughout Europe. Putin has destroyed Aleppo and Grozny and has threatened the use of nuclear weapons. Russian soldiers were sent into the area around the contaminated and still radioactive Chernobyl nuclear plant.
