Can you testify in Philadelphia on July 17 for clean air?

Friends,


Would you want to testify on behalf of clean air at a public hearing in Philadelphia on July 17? Chesapeake Physicians for Social Responsibility members will attend the hearing, and some will testify. The public will have will have the opportunity to make the case for strengthened air quality standards for PM2.5 at 2 public hearings scheduled for July 17 in Philadelphia and and July 19 in Sacramento.

We need your help to turn out speakers for the hearings -- to emphasize the need for stronger health standards and to support new monitoring requirements for roadside pollution.



Whatever you can do to share this information with your networks would be most appreciated.



Here is some information on how to sign up speakers and details about the hearings.



You can preregister for a 5-minute slot at your preferred time with Alan Rush at EPA: 202-564-1658, mailto: rush.alan@epa.gov



The hearings will take place from 9 am to 9 pm, with a 1.5 hour breaks for lunch at 12:30pm, and for dinner at 6:00 pm.



The hearing panels will consist of an official from the EPA regional office, an official from the EPA AIr office, a representative from OGC, and the staff leads on the primary and secondary standards.
