14] – Jewish Voice for Peace is doing a Power Half-Hour for Gaza:
Channel grief & outrage into action to stop a genocide. A year into
the genocide in Gaza, we are overwhelmed with sorrow and rage. There are no
words to describe the devastating pain of the past year in which the Israeli military
has killed over 44,000 Palestinians in Gaza, including more than 17,000
children. The International Court of Justice and the International Criminal
Court have both declared that Israel must stop the genocidal acts being
committed on the Palestinian people. And the U.S. government is actively
supporting the Israeli military as it wreaks devastation on the over 2 million
Palestinians in Gaza. JVP continues to come together as a political community
in its daily half-hour to take action. Join in and take collective action to
demand an arms embargo to Israel, immediate end to the genocide, a lasting
ceasefire and an end to Israeli siege, apartheid, occupation, and oppression of
Palestinians and Lebanon. All are welcome. All are needed. Get involved at 3 PM
ET on Mon., June 23, Tues., June 24, Wed., June 25 & Thurs., June 26. Visit

15] –On Mon., June 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM ET, Indivisible Baltimore County will support and exercise the constitutional right to peaceful assembly and free expression in McKeldin Plaza, E. Pratt St., Baltimore 21230. This is from #EyesonICE: The Trump Administration is cutting back many of this country's vital services, while at the same time ramping up ICE enforcement. They aim to spend $48 billion dollars to expand immigration detention, while firing federal workers, cutting vital community services and eliminating the Department of Education. We don’t want to live in their police state. We don't want a system that terrorizes and kidnaps our immigrant brothers and sisters, while it cuts and eliminates our vital education, nutrition and healthcare services! This is your rare chance to be in the same room as Motaz—not just watching through a screen—hear his story as a survivor and storyteller from Gaza, and really show up for a community that continues to live through the unimaginable. He will be in Philadelphia on June 23. Get tickets at https://www.unrwausa.org/events/boston-gaza-through-my-lens-with-motaz-azaiza-jsw27

Hear from activist and guest speaker Linden Jenkins about her recent trip to East Jerusalem and explore the current situation in Palestine. Jenkins will present learnings about the roots of Palestinian oppression, observations and photos of the tactics of settler-colonialism there and here as well as reflections on the inevitable relevance and implications unfolding today in the domestic occupation we live in, followed by Q&A and discussion. The idea is to convince the member of Congress that he must ignore his marching orders from AIPAC. And instead call for an end to genocide, starvation and an end to the Israeli control of food distribution. Real HUMANITARIAN AID must be brought into GAZA IMMEDIATELY. It is criminal to use tax dollars to provide weapons used in a genocide. For more information, text 410-917-5838 or 443-690-3135.

The pathway to successful resistance cannot be paved by protest alone. Do we need rest? Should we expand our shared community? And, most importantly, should we continue to learn and grow? With the rise of authoritarianism in the US -- and across the globe -- marginalized communities continue to be targeted at an alarming rate. If you want to be a better ally to the communities most endangered by the current state of affairs in this country, this is the training series for you! This Kick-off Call will focus on the foundation we need to be in solidarity with each other: an understanding of the current authoritarian climate and a discussion on why solidarity is necessary. This training will feature Co-Executive Director Leah Greenberg alongside special guest Heather McGhee, the New York Times bestselling author of The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together.
