55] – The Israeli government's decision to begin a bombing campaign in Iran on Thursday marks the beginning of a new chapter in the conflict. All of us are trying to make sense of the military action, the diplomatic fallout, and what the consequences will be for Israel, the region, and for the United States. New Jewish Narrative invites you to an emergency webinar with Ambassador Dan Shapiro, former U.S. Ambassador to Israel and one of the experts best able to brief us on what’s really happening—and what comes next. It will take place on Thurs., June 19 at 2 PM ET. RSVP at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_Dsj0cl8fQCGS0pO5GOjZjQ?eType=EmailBlastContent&eId=ef7f299c-6923-4343-a61b-408f71fed37f#/registration

56] – Jewish Voice for Peace is doing a Power Half-Hour for Gaza: Channel grief & outrage into action to stop a genocide.  A year into the genocide in Gaza, we are overwhelmed with sorrow and rage. There are no words to describe the devastating pain of the past year in which the Israeli military has killed over 44,000 Palestinians in Gaza, including more than 17,000 children. The International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court have both declared that Israel must stop the genocidal acts being committed on the Palestinian people. And the U.S. government is actively supporting the Israeli military as it wreaks devastation on the over 2 million Palestinians in Gaza. JVP continues to come together as a political community in its daily half-hour to take action. Join in and take collective action to demand an arms embargo to Israel, immediate end to the genocide, a lasting ceasefire and an end to Israeli siege, apartheid, occupation, and oppression of Palestinians and Lebanon. All are welcome. All are needed. Get involved at 3 PM ET on Thurs., June 19, Mon., June 23, Tues., June 24 & Wed., June 25. 57] – Trade Justice [hillary@tradejusticeedfund.org] on Thurs., June 19 at 3 PM ET will explain changes needed for USMCA Review to deliver benefits to Working People and the Planet. When the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) was signed, President Trump told the nation that his revised NAFTA trade deal would bring "jobs pouring into the United States." Instead, corporations continue to offshore good-paying jobs to Mexico under the USMCA to take advantage of ongoing worker rights violations, abysmally-low wages and lax pollution controls. Next month marks the official start of the six-year review of the USMCA, which is almost certain to lead to the pact's official renegotiation.  In anticipation, more than 600 organizations across the country have signed onto a joint set of demands for the USMCA renegotiation to deliver real benefits to working people, family farmers and the environment. Join the Trade Justice Power Hour to learn more about the set of demands civil society is making for the negotiations and what you can do to press federal officials to adopt them.  RSVP at https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/3017500962861/WN_hy_mxdcNRie1QtUuw5db9g?link_id=1&can_id=4b9d4061aec5469758759317ac0f5285&source=email-join-us-changes-needed-for-usmca-review-to-deliver-benefits-to-working-people-and-the-planet-4&email_referrer=email_2777640&email_subject=icymi-changes-needed-for-usmca-review-to-deliver-benefits-to-working-people-and-the-planet&&#/registration

It seems like every time you turn on the news there's something crazy and harmful coming from this current regime. The budget negotiations show we certainly have a challenging road ahead. But there is good news. In addition to the tremendous turnout nationwide for the No Kings events last Saturday, and there are progressive candidates running in elections right now! Join in for the many ways we can all easily get involved with to make a real difference.

To be continued.
