42] – Phone bank with Indivisible to Stop the Trump Tax Scam on Wed., June 18, Wed., June 25 and Thurs., June 26 from  11 AM to 12:30 PM0 ET. RSVP at https://www.mobilize.us/indivisible/event/792462/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=_20250604

On Wednesday and Thursday in June, join Indivisible for a phone bank where we’ll be calling voters and connecting them directly to their Senator. Together, urge Republicans to oppose the Trump Tax Scam—a reckless GOP tax plan that prioritizes billionaires like Elon Musk while selling out working families. Republicans in Congress are trying to ram this through using budget reconciliation, bypassing bipartisan support to give trillions in tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy. Their plan? Slash Medicaid, SNAP, and early education programs—all so billionaires can hoard more wealth while everyday Americans pay more. You will use Scale to Win, an easy-to-use calling tool, to make sure voters can speak out and be heard.

43] – The National Religious Campaign against Torture [nrcatlist@nrcat.org] on Wed., June 18 at noon is holding a webinar “How to Shine Your Light.”  Learn how you can partner with NRCAT to lead public witness vigils on the 23rd of each month to draw attention to the estimated 122,00 people who are held for up to 23 hours a day in solitary confinement in U.S. prisons and jails. Webinar presenters will include leaders of WISDOM, a Wisconsin network of faith-based organizations whose members have been leading monthly vigils on the 23rd of each month outside correctional facilities in Green Bay and at the state capitol in Madison. We will also learn from leaders of EXPO of Wisconsin about the power and importance of honoring the human dignity of every life by hosting rapid response vigils outside a women’s prison following tragedies there.  Register at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_DZvM4QnORhSVDB2qAVkvhA#/registration?eType=EmailBlastContent&eId=218c0526-ca7b-44e2-bba4-e5c049a42d9f

44] – Jewish Voice for Peace is doing a Power Half-Hour for Gaza: Channel grief & outrage into action to stop a genocide.  A year into the genocide in Gaza, we are overwhelmed with sorrow and rage. There are no words to describe the devastating pain of the past year in which the Israeli military has killed over 44,000 Palestinians in Gaza, including more than 17,000 children. The International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court have both declared that Israel must stop the genocidal acts being committed on the Palestinian people. And the U.S. government is actively supporting the Israeli military as it wreaks devastation on the over 2 million Palestinians in Gaza. JVP continues to come together as a political community in its daily half-hour to take action. Join in and take collective action to demand an arms embargo to Israel, immediate end to the genocide, a lasting ceasefire and an end to Israeli siege, apartheid, occupation, and oppression of Palestinians and Lebanon. All are welcome. All are needed. Get involved at 3 PM ET on Wed., June 18, Thurs., June 19, Mon., June 23 & Tues., June 24. 45] – Food & Water Watch [act@fwwatch.org] on Wed., June 18 at 3 PM will tell you it is in the courts. Food & Water Watch’s legal team, Food & Water Justice, is working in the courts to defend protections for safe food, clean water, and a livable climate as the Trump Administration takes aim at bedrock environmental laws and the rule of law itself. Hear from Tarah Heinzen, Food & Water Watch’s Legal Director, and allies Jennifer Duggan, Executive Director of the Environmental Integrity Project, and Phoebe Seaton, Co-Director and Attorney of Leadership Counsel for Justice and Accountability. The group is challenging illegal regulatory rollbacks and industry attacks on protections for clean water, family farms, and the climate. 53] – Good Trouble Lives On is a national day of nonviolent action to respond to the attacks posed on our civil and human rights by the Trump administration and to remind them that in America, the power lies with the people. On July 17, the anniversary of Congressman John Lewis’s passing, take action across the country to defend our democracy and carry forward his legacy of Good Trouble. From voter suppression bills like the SAVE Act to the criminalization of protest, the Trump administration is launching a full-scale attack on our civil and human rights. But we know the truth: in America, the power lies with the people, and we’re rising to prove it. Join us for a national day of nonviolent action to rally, march, host teach-ins and do vigils to demand that Congress fight back and protect our freedom to vote. This is a moment of moral clarity and collective power.

On Wednesdays, June 18 & 25 and July 3 & 10 from 7 to 8 PM ET, strategize and prepare for the event on July 17.  RSVP at https://www.mobilize.us/john-lewis-actions/event/792911/?followup_modal_context=organization_newsletter_custom_recommendations
