43] – On Thurs., Oct. 26, please call Gov. Moore at 410-974-3901, and tell him to stand up to CSX. He should tell the Maryland Department of the Environment to reject a coal permit!  The air pollution permit for CSX’s dangerous and unhealthy coal terminal in Curtis Bay has expired and is past due for renewal. Despite requests from allied community groups to engage with them, the Maryland Department of the Environment has been stalling, continuing to postpone taking public input on the permit renewal.

48] – Public Citizen [action@citizen.org] is urging you to see a documentary on Thurs., Oct. 26 at 7 PM ET – No Time to Fail, which is about election workers. In the face of voter suppression and a global pandemic, people turned out to vote in record numbers in 2020. And election workers rose to the challenge, as they worked long hours in the midst of the pandemic to oversee the most secure election in our history. The new documentary gives voice to the experiences of this largely invisible, yet completely indispensable workforce during the 2020 Election. No Time to Fail is premiering on PBS, and Public Citizen is joining the producers and former election official Tina Barton to host a virtual watch event. Watch the documentary with other activists who care about protecting our election workers from attacks and conspiracy theories. RSVP at https://www.mobilize.us/publiccitizeninitiative/event/584263/?utm_source=PCemail&eType=EmailBlastContent&eId=3da383be-c31a-492f-b2e3-f3df3fb8a34a

Filmed over five years, this is the only documentary about the young NSA whistleblower who exposed Russian interference in U.S. elections and went to jail for it. With exclusive access to Reality Winner and the media outlet involved in her arrest, this film also reveals FBI evidence never before released. WHISPeR clients Edward Snowden, Thomas Drake, and John Kiriakou are interviewed in the film. Visit https://www.codebreakerfilms.com/reality-winner
