Dear Max:
Have you registered
yet for our annual membership meeting, Saturday, Nov. 12, from noon to
4 pm, 17715 Meeting House Rd., Sandy Spring (Montgomery County).
Medea Benjamin,
co-founder of Code Pink, will discuss her new book, War in Ukraine,
Making Sense of a Senseless Conflict.
Be inspired by
MD2Palestine, our honoree for Maryland peace
organization of the year.
Our luncheon will be
catered by Shababi, serving
delicious and authentic Palestinian food. The cost of the luncheon
is $25 (or $15 for low income/student). We will have vegan options
and a great selection of Middle Eastern dishes.
If you plan to come for lunch, please pre-pay today—but no
later than Nov. 9! Alternatively, you can pay at the door (bring cash or
check), but we need to know you are coming so that we can order enough
food. If you want to pay at the door, email info@peaceactionmd.org
If you can’t make it in person, you can join us on zoom. Register here for zoom.
Why you should come:
**To
gain energy from like-minded activists and to make new friends.
**To
learn from and be inspired by our speaker and honorees.
**To join the
discussion to determine Maryland Peace Action’s key issue for the coming
year.
**If
you are a member, to vote for the board of directors. If you aren’t yet a
member, join now.
**To find out more
about what MD Peace Action has been doing, and see how you can do more to
help us achieve peace.
We so hope to see
you on Nov. 12! Plan to come. Register now!!
In solidarity,
Jean Athey
