] –Tonya Histand, AFSC [actioncenter@afsc.org] wants you to know about a No Way to Treat a Child campaign webinar on Tues., Nov. 29 at noon ET.  AFSC’s campaign partner, Defense for Children International – Palestine, has compiled extensive documentation on how Israeli forces have killed, injured, and detained Palestinian children this year. In this webinar, you will examine this critical information. Also there will be a discussion of upcoming plans for advocacy after the recent U.S. elections.  Sign up at https://nwttac.dci-palestine.org/nwttac_webinar_20221129?ms=EMA22EI1118&emci=ecd446f4-a566-ed11-ade6-14cb65342cd2&emdi=2cf9d7e0-5567-ed11-ade6-14cb65342cd2&ceid=764241.

] – Ahmad Abuznaid, USCPR [contact@uscpr.org] has a webinar for you on Tues., Nov. 29 at 1 PM ET -- International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.  On this Day of Solidarity join a live discussion on what bold and active solidarity looks like. For 74+ years, the native Palestinian people have been resisting Israel’s violent colonialism and fighting for freedom. And right now, the Palestinian people are loudly demanding justice in the streets, calling on the world to finally stop Israel’s horrific violence. You can respond to their call here in the U.S., where our government actively funds the Israeli military by $3.8+ billion a year.  The featured speakers are Mariam Barghouti, Palestinian journalist and researcher, and Iman Abid, Organizing & Advocacy Director at USCPR. Register at uscpr.org/WebinarGT.

] – Join the Baltimore Nonviolence Center on Tues., Nov. 29 from 4 to 5 PM ET at 33rd and N. Charles Sts. The invasion of Ukraine has the potential to become a war extending throughout Europe.  Putin has destroyed Aleppo and Grozny and has threatened the use of nuclear weapons.  Russian soldiers were sent into the area around the contaminated and still radioactive Chernobyl nuclear plant. Now they are stationed in the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the largest in Europe.   People who believe in peace and justice should come forward and take the risks of peace. The burial sites continue to expose ruthless war crimes by the invaders, Contact Max at mobuszewski2001 at Comcast dot net or 410-323-1607.

] – Tam Doan [info@cpdaction.org] wants you to join in on Tues., Nov. 29 at 6:30 PM ET for a How-to guide on finding strength through community. The Supreme Court is about to hear a case that attacks our freedom to vote and to choose leaders who will deliver for our communities. The conservatives behind this case are not only asking the Court to uphold their unfair district maps; they want the Court to adopt the same far-fetched, far-right theory Trump tried to use to overturn the 2020 election (the Independent State Legislature theory). Tune in at https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_LFPGAeI_SHS4coRjm0xAFA?utm_source=Zoom&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=VRD.

] –Massachusetts Peace Action [info@masspeaceaction.org] is hosting on Tues., Nov. 29 at 7 PM ET -- Trump’s Appeal in ‘Lost-Cause’ America: The roots of MAGA in the lost war in Vietnam. Some observers find Trumpist roots in the 1990s’ broadcasts of Rush Limbaugh and the political voice of Pat Buchanan. Jerry Lembcke looks deeper and sees the lost war in Vietnam as the spawning ground for Trumpism’s revanchist themes. Hear Lembcke discuss the roots of MAGA in the lost war in Vietnam! This webinar will be focusing on Trump's appeal to "lost-cause" America and how that links to the war in Vietnam.  Lembcke is a Vietnam Veteran, author several books on the aftermath of Vietnam, such as "Dissenting POWS: From Vietnam's Hoa Lo Prison to America Today", and Associate Professor Emeritus at the College of the Holy Cross.
