Housing is needed in Baltimore & D.C. for protesters/Purveyors of Bigotry, Suppressors of Dissent, Supporters of Torture. Meet Trump's Cabinet Picks

Friends,
As the Inauguration nears, people are coming from across the country to resist Trumpism on January 20 & 21.  As you might suspect, housing will be difficult to find in the Metropolitan Area.  Can you share an extra room, bed, couch, or floor space for an out of town guest?  Do you know of a church or other public space where people could sleep? Please let me know ASAP if you can house a protester or if you can arrange for your church, meetinghouse, synagogue or other common space to be available – 410-323-1607 or mobuszewski at Verizon dot net.  From January 19 - 21, there is a Peace Ball, Occupy Inauguration, Disrupt J20, the Women’s March on Washington, and more. As the new administration assumes power, create  bridges not walls, diplomacy not war, and love not hate.
Kagiso,
Max
Purveyors of Bigotry, Suppressors of Dissent, Supporters of Torture. Meet Trump’s Cabinet Picks

Dear Troublemaker,
Throughout the campaign, Donald Trump made shocking promises to create a Muslim registry, championed stop and frisk, mass deportations, and in general promised us more profiling, more surveillance, and less protections for civil liberties.
He hasn’t walked back any of those promises. And he is assembling a team that won’t flinch at implementing even his most horrific ideas: Sessions, Bannon, Flynn, and Kelly.
Of course are fighting the confirmation of Jeff Sessions for Attorney General.
We’ve done it before. We were part of the team that successfully organized against Jeff Sessions’ confirmation for federal judge thirty years ago, and we are part of the team that will fight his confirmation again. We admit it will be more difficult this time.
That’s why we are preparing to resist every racist, repressive, retrograde, anti-liberty measure Sessions or any of the others dare to throw at us.
We have run a series of profiles of the most egregious threats to civil liberties. Here are the low lights:
Jeff Sessions – as Attorney General, he will be responsible for upholding the rights of every American. But his thirty-year career is at odds with this duty. He has been a consistent enemy of equal rights, voting rights, immigration, reproductive rights, and criminal justice reform. Read more here.
Michael Flynn – as National Security Advisor, Flynn does not need to be confirmed. He believes that “Shariah, or Islamic law, is spreading in the United States,” and told Trump that he must “engage in ‘world war’ against Islamist militants.” Read more here.
John Kelly – nominated for Secretary of Homeland Security, has pledged to end “political correctness” in national security, considers immigrants an “existential threat,” supports the War on Drugs, and undermined Obama’s attempts to close Guantanamo. Read more here.
Steven Bannon – is already in place as Trump’s chief strategist, and needs no confirmation to continue to play this role in the Administration. He is the former CEO of Brietbart News, which he made into a mouthpiece of white nationalists that promoted Islamophobia, racism and misogyny. Read more here.
Scott Pruitt – even Trump’s nominee to head the Environmental Protection Agency raises civil liberties concerns. He used his position as Attorney General of Oklahoma to harass the Humane Society and other animal welfare groups. Read more here.
