The response was overwhelmingly positive. We realized that Lebanese and those who hold Lebanon deep in their hearts around the world wanted and needed to have more opportunities to engage with one another on the dire situation in the country they love. For this first session, hear from two courageous Members of Parliament - who are now in the sixth week of their protest sit-in in the Parliament building. Daizy will also rejoin our conversation and will show clips of her remarkable film - Enough! Lebanon's Darkest Hour. The film exposes the corruption that is at the core of Lebanon’s crisis.

The legislation proposes to create mixed-income, district-owned housing with market rate units that subsidize a larger number of affordable units. It's a pioneering approach that deepens affordability, invests surplus funds into the creation of more social housing, and locks-in financial sustainability. The bill also includes climate and labor standards and elected tenant boards with oversight over building management. This event is open to both DSA Members and supporters. RSVP at
