In solidarity with the flagship event in Seattle, Starbucks workers are asking allied organizations to take action to hold Starbucks accountable and to launch the Adopt a Store program with actions at Starbucks stores across the country on March 22nd. Indeed, with Russian abandoning the New Start Treaty and with Putin threatening to use nuclear weapons, and with both imperial nations having the largest number of nuclear weapons, we have a problem. This webinar will feature speakers Jay Coghlan (Director of Nuclear Watch New Mexico) and Ralph Hutchison (Coordinating Committee of the Nuclear Ban Treaty Collaborative) and present an update on current US nuclear weapons plans, including the Biden Nuclear Posture Review, current modernization of production facilities and weapons systems, the FY23 & FY 24 nuclear weapons budgets, the US role in the global nuclear arms race, and the role of war profiteers.  I hope there is a discussion of Putin's nuclear arsenal.
