59] – Sun Day [reply@sunday.earth] on Thurs., Dec. 18 from 7 to 9 PM, consider making calls for Clean Energy. Sun Day showed us the incredible power of coming together to celebrate clean energy. Now, it's time to channel that energy into action that gets more solar and wind projects built in communities across the country. Greenlight America is calling clean energy supporters in key locations and encouraging them to take action to get projects permitted where they live. On these phone banks, volunteers will encourage supporters to testify at hearings, submit public comments or contact decision makers to build wind and solar projects. The next call will be on Tues., Jan. 6, 2026 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, and the calls will continue through Jan. 29, 2026. 61] – Get over to a virtual MomsRising [info@momsrising.org] Monthly Community Meeting on the fourth Thursday of the month, including Dec. 18, from 8:30 to 9:30 PM ET. Heading into 2026: What’s next for your health coverage? It’s been a tough year, and now the countdown is on to prepare to close out 2025. Come together to go into 2026 informed, empowered, and well-prepared, especially as it pertains to the fight to protect our health care! We’ve been hearing a lot of questions about the health care policy fights in the past few months, and our final Community Zoom meeting will help us make sense of it all. Republican leaders in Congress recently pushed through a major spending bill that cut over $1 trillion from Medicaid. On top of that, Republican leaders in Congress are failing to extend the enhanced Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits that millions of people have relied on to keep their coverage affordable. Without those enhanced credits in place, millions of families are entering open enrollment for the ACA with sticker shock and heavy uncertainty about what they will be able to afford. Health care costs could go up more than 70%.
Angela Cobian from Planned Parenthood, will walk you through how the recent federal health care policy-- like the HR1/Big Beautiful (read: ugly) Bill—is already affecting patient access, what health centers have been experiencing on-the-ground, and the actions we can take together to support care for our communities. Also hear from Marilyn Cabrera from Young Invincibles, who will break down the possible looming expiration of the ACA enhanced tax credits, what it could mean for health care affordability for millions of people, where things currently stand, and what Congress can do to protect access to affordable coverage. 62] – Progressive Democrats of America [info@pdamerica.org] on Thurs., Dec. 18 at 9 PM ET will do a Campaign for Victory Team meeting. Join in and share good news about campaigns and candidates we can easily get involved with that will turn US politics around for a safer, more peaceful, more prosperous, and more generally-progressive world for us all. Register for the zoom meeting, and the machine will email you your secure codes: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZcrcuGgrDItHdeYV7F9QQsruFMypvcMt5Fc?emci=3b7a4b2d-80d4-f011-8195-000d3a1d58aa&emdi=484a0a5a-0dd5-f011-8195-000d3a1d58aa&ceid=2907617#/registration
