Stand with those daring to grieve and dream together—and to believe in the possibility of a just peace. With each passing day, it becomes more difficult to process the headlines–entire families buried beneath rubble, hostages still being held in Gaza, civilians pleading for a deal, and those released from detention and captivity reporting horrific abuse. In the face of this relentless devastation, it’s easy to feel hopeless and powerless. Yet Combatants for Peace and the Parents Circle–Families Forum make a different choice. They show up for one another—with broken hearts, open arms, and an unwavering belief that there is another way. On April 29, bereaved Palestinians and Israelis will again stand side by side at the Joint Memorial Day Ceremony, refusing to let pain turn into hatred. Refusing to be enemies. For the past 20 years of the annual ceremony, the community has mourned
30] – Join the Baltimore Nonviolence Center on Tues., April 29 from 4:30 to 5 PM ET at 33rd and N. Charles Sts. to condemn the invasion of Ukraine and the Trump/Vance team which supports Putin’s war crimes. Putin has destroyed Aleppo and Grozny and has threatened the use of nuclear weapons. And he knows that Trump appreciates how he got Trump elected in 2016. Rather than support Ukraine, Trump hoped to steal Ukraine’s rare earth minerals. Let us hope that the European Union will provide further support for the Ukrainian people. Contact Max at mobuszewski2001 at Comcast dot net or 410-323-1607.
