In this Zoom-based training, you will learn how to make calls and get your questions answered through an amazing online community. After training, during calling hours, you'll be able to schedule shifts on the hour or stop by to call when it's most convenient for you. The first half of the session, you will be set up to call, and the second half you'll be making calls to voters in battleground states. 39] – On Wed., Aug. 24 from 7 to 8:30 PM ET, Swing Left, hosted in Columbia, MD, is doing a monthly status update event on Zoom, followed by letter writing on your own. There is a separate event to attend in-person letter writing. The evening will start with a 10-15 minute status update. Then dive into writing letters. You can stay on Zoom to be connected to the in-person meeting or drop off and write at your own pace. Sign up as a volunteer on Vote Forward at votefwd.org/swingleft. It takes a day or so to get approved as a volunteer, so plan to sign up 3-4 days ahead of the event. Download 20 letters to write at the event and gather your materials.
