On Oct. 17, 2019, the people of Lebanon took to the streets to fight for their basic human rights. The normalized daily life of the average Lebanese family includes limited electricity, crumbling healthcare, and a nonexistent future for an entire generation of children. The devaluation of the Lebanese pound has caused many to make the choice of whether to buy milk or to pay for electricity. The mobilization of youth demanding basic rights with no foreign political intervention had led corrupt political parties to make the excuse of how embassies are funding the revolution. This is a hybrid rally supporting the endorsed candidate for Maryland's First Congressional District, Heather Mizeur. This event is essential for three primary reasons. It shows the Mizeur campaign the Progressive Movement's strength in the path to victory on the Lower Shore. It will show local media and the districts at large that Progressives are fired up and ready to defeat Andy Harris in 2022. Most importantly this event allows you the chance to learn about Heather's progressive credentials and how to defeat far-right congressperson Andy Harris in 2022.
